I'm not, I'm not 12 books behind thanks to this monstrosity that I thought would be a good idea to read
But you have still read a damn lot. I might even beat my goal this year as I'm 8 books ahead. I've read a lot of short/quick reads this year though so I'm not sure I'll hit my page total :(
and i think i told you at the time that it didn't matter at all as long as you were reading and enjoying.should take my own advice ;)
I actually have a challenge (in the challenge yourself group) for shorts. I said I would read ten and I think and I am on like 15(?). Pretty ridiculous. I like shorts though :)
Another challenge beat. I'm fussy with shorts, sometimes I like them and other times I need something to get my teeth into
i tend to feel disheartened by some shorts as they leave me wanting for so much more but i suppose that means it was just a really good short then..

Bout of Books 8.0The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 19th and runs through Sunday, August 25th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 8.0 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team
Between the 19th and the 25th of August I hope to;
x read 1500 pages
x get rid of all the prequels on my Kindle (all shorts)
x finish 3 other books
The prequels are:
Ashes to Ashes, Cinder to Cinder
Beauty Never Dies
Snow White, Blood Red
Throne of Glass: The Assassin and the Desert
Throne of Glass: The Assassin and the Empire
Throne of Glass: The Assassin and the Pirate Lord
Throne of Glass: The Assassin and the Underworld
The 3 books are:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Auschwitz Violin
The Colorado Kid
All 3 of these are rather short so I am leaving myself open for anything else.
Here Be Link
Thanks :D& yes, Jud! Wanted to read a book but needed it finished before this started to make sure I could start on the challenges I set for myself straight away
I know! I thought the idea was good so if only the person with the idea had bothered to take some time over the story and think it through properly.
Read so far for Bout of Books:Disturbances
The Spook's Stories: Grimalkin's Tale
Uncle Mildred and Other Stories
The Ayris book doesn't have a page but with the other it's 115 so far.
I'm also 13% into The Perks of Being a Wallflower
I need to read at least 215 pages a day to keep up with my challenge so I'm on track.
not that much! ill hopefully get a far bit into Perks a bit later once I've done my nails and sorted out my PC.
Go you! Not bad for only being part of the way into day 2.I just read 4 short stories to catch up on my challenge, I'm now only 15 books behind!
Ha 'not bad' just realised how patronising that comes across. Yea that's not bad but I've like read 5,000,000 pages already today. Sorry, I didn't mean it that way :o) I meant it in a YAT! you're doing well! kind of way
LOL JUD! That comment made me giggle! That is only yesterday. I haven't counted todays yet :P
Thanks guys for the encouragement. It's not hard for me to read that much. I normally just spend that time doing other things (plus I'm a really quick reader).
I actually finished Perks last night at 12:03 hehe.
ive had to come on here to remind myself what the third novel was aha. i think i need to add to my TBR list this week. i havent touched the prequels as ive been told that they are bette read AFTER the main novel instead of before (like many nowadays it seems)
