I love those chapter books!

And then I was pretty sick a few years ago, and they said that there might be brain damage caused by what I had, and since then I have read more than I ever used to. Like Danielle, it's possible for me to read a book in a day, but it has to be a gripping book, and I can't have work. But some books take me a while, like there's so much in the Count of Monte Cristo so that took me about three months. Every Harry Potter took me half a day the first read.
Now, I read to my son every night. We do three or four picture books and then a chapter of a chapter book. He's had all the Harry Potter books, and we're on the third Narnia book now. When I work lates, my stepdad reads him a Roald Dahl book, and my mum sticks to the picture books and makes them up. He'll like books if it kills me.

From that day till now I have never stopped reading ...

That's such a sad story, but a great ending. You're lucky to have met that girl, she seems like a wonderful role model.

This story is such a sad one but I guess it ended up to be a good experience for you because now you love books and if you didn't you wouldn't be here and we wouldn't know each other!

My love for books.
And after that I tried my best to never be intimidated by bullies.

Beautiful story! *tear*

So sorry to hear that. :( Losing loved ones is just too hard.

:) This is so nice. Chelsea :D

Good old JK introduced an entire generation to reading. It's every author's dream. :D

wow :)

Best workplace ever :) I love hanging out in libraries.

Great rule! I rarely watch TV on weekdays either. I catch up with my favorite shows on the weekends.

Keep hearing about that. Thanks for reminding me! Just added it to my bookshelf! :D

:) You started at such a young age.

Ive probably been a bookworm since I was in the womb. We have a home video of my dad reading to mums belly while I was in there.... Is that weird? Probably haha. But that's my family. I was read to a lot as a child so that probably started it. The favorites for mum to read to me were probably the magic pudding and Dr Seuss :) rhythmic and rhyming.
Some time later, I turned eight and got my first Harry Potter book, the rest is history :)

I still have the original Dr Seuss books, read them to my children when they were young, and have shelved them ready for the next generation: Not for a good few years yet, hopefuly.
