Thanks to the preschool teachers!! I have a great one too.

I love Spanish. It sounds so beautiful. I was thinking of learning the language last year, but a bit too busy.

You started with a good one I see :)

But I suppose I didn't become a true bookworm until I could read for myself. It's funny; at first, I didn't want to learn how to read because I didn't want my parents to stop reading to me. But once I was able to read on my own, I didn't mind so much, and I took over reading stories out loud on family nights. I didn't have many friends my age to play with when I was little (though I had siblings, but they were all older than me and so didn't always quite fit the bill, though they were the best siblings I could ask for), and I struggled with depression - still do, - so books become a refuge and my friends. That's what turned me into the book-gobbling obsessive worm that I am now. ;)

Me too. Without reading, I cannot imagine what kind of life would it be.

In the short, I have been a bookworm for a very... very... long time. :)

A college reading level in grade 5? WOW!

Yeah! It's pretty crazy!! I have always been good at school in that regard... math on the other hand :P

Anyway, i fell in love with books after that, and since i discovered ebooks, i only read books in English now and needless to say i can never get enough.

:) I loved Harry Potter too.

Between grades K through 2nd I was always behind my classmates when it came to reading. My parents got me some extra help during the summer between 2nd and 3rd grade. So when I went back to school I was at the same pace as others. But I did not want to stop reading from then on. So when I got into 4th grade my reading level was at a 6th grade reading level. When I got into 5th grade I was reading high school books and higher. I remember asking my teacher if the school had Stephen King books that I could check out. Let's just say she called my mom to have a "meeting." So I really started reading in 3rd grade!

And way back, when I learned how to read and write - latter part of preschool, I have this notebook where I write stories.

Until the 6th grade, I used to write "novels". I used to get excited about an idea, start writing a novel, and then tomorrow starting another one...
I have millions of first chapters of unfinished storied saved on my computer.
Since the 6th grade, I stopped getting ideas. Sometimes I'm trying to force myself to write, but it doesn't really work. :\

Right before the summer of 2012 lol
Right before the hunger games movie came out I read the books and I was completely engrossed after that I read I am number 4 then went to other books then the summer I read the city of bones(love them!) plus 15 or more other books. Since the summer ive read a bunch I read probably more that 10 books last month. I'm studying from my ACT right now so I have to suspend myself from reading cuz once I start I cant stop I've read books from morning to the next morning its crazy!

But then, in 2nd grade, I discovered Harry Potter. I read it alone, borrowed from a friend, and without my mother knowing because I knew she would take it away and call it "too scary". (We had had this conversation before)
I did eventually tell her... when I finished the book and begged for the second!
I read like crazy then on.
I became interested in the YA genre though in 4th grade, when I read all of Tamora Pierces books! I have been going strong since then!

ACK! Get thyself to a bookstore! Or borrow the series from a friend. You will NOT regret it.
Okay, there's my Potter pitch for the day ;) hehe
