moved - Any books written by authors with the same name will be added to your profile by the automatic import.
You will either need to post here to have the removed or contact GR support and ask that they disambiguate you so that you are no longer the single space Gregory^Heath which will stop books being added automatically to your profile

Hi guys, I need help.Could anyone please delete this book (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...) and merge all the reviewers and non-reviewers to this book (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...). Sorry, a friend of mine who is old here who had been accepted as a librarian did add an extra copy without searching it first. Thanks in advance.
This book http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...is copy of this book http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15... but with less information.
So plese delete first book.
Thank you.
Re: 214, the page counts are drastically different. Do you know if the 199 page count and ISBN for the edition with more information are correct? The publisher's page for the book lists neither page count nor ISBN.http://www.rejhan.net/knjige/9-rejhan...

Converter is telling me there's no such ISBN? And it looks like a duplicate of one in the same language.
I'm getting this as a bad ISBN also...
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13... "
The first one had a typo in the ISBN which I have now corrected.
The second one had a typo in the ISBN also, but has a different cover from the other entry with the correct ISBN. I removed the bad ISBN and added a note about the alternate cover.
Got 217-219. (FYI, most requests in this thread need a super, so there's no need to post stating that.)
Please merge and delete the first one of the following duplicate editions: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/96...
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/66...

Yes. However, please keep this in mind: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

I have four duplicate editions. Please merge & delete 3 (or 2) of them. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/19... (wrong ISBN, ISBN given belongs to a german edition)
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17... (this one has correct ISBN, keep it)
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10... (no ISBN given, but it looks like an alternate cover edition, please put a librarian comment if so)
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15... (no-cover, no-isbn, duplicate)
Rivka wrote: ...please keep this in mind: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... Q: How do I delete my out-of-print book?
A: You don't.
OOPS! I didn't realize that no-longer (legally) published ebooks were to remain. Seems to me that encourages pirating, but oh well. I guess my delete request is null. Thanks for the info!

Worldcat has this as an ISBN for a Turkish edition, which matches the book's other details.
I'll merge the others; the "alternate" cover looks like just a higher-quality cover scan for the paperback.
ETA: I may have spoken too soon -- I can't get the Turkish editions to separate from the others in order to merge them. The combine/separate service may be down. I'll come back for it in a bit.

How so? The actual ebook isn't here. Just the book's information, allowing users who have read it to shelve it.

You are right. Further research tells me that it is the isbn of the hardcover edition. I updated it. Thanks.
Can a super delete/merge these 3:* http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...
* http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20...
* http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23...
They were created with misspelled author & have no isbn or other info. I corrected the author and combined with the proper editions.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...Could you please make the peach-colored cover the primary and delete the blank cover and the duplicate peach-colored cover. I tried to do this, but ended up making it worse. Thanks. Mary Simonsen, Author
First one is a duplicate of second one, please delete it.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...

Rivka, you said:Larissa wrote: "Seems to me that encourages pirating"

My response: Good point! I did not consider shelving the book as a reference for stories read. I was thinking instead of how it seemed like advertising an unavailable book; unlike a paperback that can be tracked down, the only way to get out of print e-books is pirating.
A new question: how can I mark one of my books as completely out of print and unavailable, but point readers to a different story featuring the same characters they might be interested in? (The other story is not yet published but will be soon)
I sincerely appreciate your help.
Larissa wrote: "A new question: how can I mark one of my books as completely out of print and unavailable, but point readers to a different story featuring the same characters they might be interested in? (The other story is not yet published but will be soon)..."Book data can specify details like characters, series and settings. That's on the "edit details" page like most other book information. Or, you can let us know which characters need to be added to which books and we can do for you.
Goodreads has a book database of in and out of print books and is not advertising any of them for sale or available (in fact, a great many members just think it's mostly what has been added from member and library collections). Advertisements on site are from third parties.
No book is marked as available or unavailable; in print or out of print. If it was ever published, it can be here at goodreads. Members don't know if available or in print until they go looking for the book in retail stores and in bookseller sites online.
As to out of print ebooks only available by pirating -- well, honestly hasn't been much of an issue here that I've seen. Usually piracy is for popular in print ebooks, illegal ebook versions of out of print hardcopies by readers convinced that out of print is ethical gray area--and the out of print ebooks can usually be gotten with a simple request to the author or their agent as more likely just not in print with a particular bookseller site or publisher but still available author direct. No cost once the files created to direct distribute to requestors; the cost of ebook is in the writing, editing, formatting, distributing to vendors, promotions, etc. but once created...I've never yet failed to buy or receive an out of print ebook from the copyrightholder. Ebooks going out of print tend to be at most temporary as author withdraws from one publisher, to revise and will be releasing a new edition or in some cases passes and takes a while for the estate to catch up.
@larissa,just a suggestion, your questions might get a lot more attention if posted in feedbacks group i/o this thread (dedicated for deleting books by superlibrarians).

Actually, this is a Librarian Group issue, more than a Feedback one. But a new thread in the Questions section might be a good notion.

Greg, go to edit details, and under author you will see the main author, and your name. You can remove your name.
I'll do it for you this time.
EDIT: Greg, the second link is to a book that even amazon says Greg Heath wrote, maybe it is just wrongfully associated with you? I did change the other one, though. If anyone finds this to be the case there too, I apologize. But can you please change it back for me.
Charles wrote: "Greg, go to edit details, and under author you will see the main author, and your name. You can remove your name."
No. Not when he's the primary author. Anyway, the books belong to another author with the same name, and Cait already fixed them.

Cool, so long as it's been straightened out, and I didn't make it worse, it's a good day
Serkan wrote: "Please delete this book (there is no such book)http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12..."
the problem is that one member already shelved it.
maybe you can confirm to him/her, which book he/she meant to shelf, and then the book can be merged to the correct one.

They are two entries of the same edition, both were added by the same person.
