End of the world
*covers my ears and shakes my head* Remember I said I needed to practice more with the blocking part. *whimpers and buries my head into Riddick's chest who wraps his arms around me protectively*
* Mike motions with his head as Riddick picks Lacy up and they head back down the corridor they way they'd come. *I don't know how long it will be before they have a guard change. When they do our secret will be out. They'll at least know someone's here. Riddick, keep that cannon you call a personal weapon handy.
* They travel a long time till they come to a crossing corridor. The cross corridor was darker and a bit more narrow but moves off at ninety degrees. We have to press ourselves tight against the wall almost immediately as guards pass in the corridor we'd just left.
Once they pass we move on...Lacy slowly regaining calm as we grow in distance from "The Room"*
*looks down shamefully* I'm sorry, Mike...we need to go back..that's he only way..the guards have said so. *pulls free from Riddick and quickly, silently disappear back towards the room, passing the guards without being notices, covering my ears as I grew closer to the room. Riddick snarls and takes off after me, glancing back at you for only a second*
* Mike shakes his head...uses 2 more sleep darts to knock out the guards in case they may have heard what they couldn't see. Mike arrives behind Riddick pulling two more guards. Riddick ties them as Mike makes sure the first two are still well out of it. After they are secured Mike and Riddick join Lacy at the entry to the room with the sleeping people. *
*I stand in door way, breathing hard, ears covered, and eyes darting from one person to the next. I slips the cloak off and let it drop behind me, my wings spreading.* I need to go quick. You two can look around if you want but I can't wait. *i glance back at you and Riddick, my eyes hard as I try to block the voices*
You'll probably trip all kinds of detectors. If you can't take it at all then let me put you lightly under and Riddick or I can carry you through and wake you once we're through. The last thing we want is to start something among these helpless people.
*my wings flutter again and I move back towards you, nodding my head* Okay...let's do that. Hopefully it'll quiet the voices in my mind. *Riddick sweeps me off my feet making me smile a little but sadly* Only man who will sweep me off my feet now...*I think sadly in my mind*
* Mike takes out one of the darts carefully reduces the drug and scratches Lacy's arm, he then drapes the invisibility cloak over the front of Riddick until Lacy vanishes. It had looked odd as Riddick's potion was still working and Lacy had looked as if she were simply floating in the air.Riddick sets out (as agreed between Mike and he) straight down the center of the room trying to take the most direct route. Mike goes to the right in an attempt to move to a side wall and see if he can find any information...like if these people can be saved.
It takes most of an hour to get to the other side of the room where Riddick has arrived and laid Lacy aside in another alcove (like the ones on the other side of the room where we'd left the guards) and waited. It was another half hour before Mike arrived and Riddick had a collection of 6 unconscious guards by the time Mike arrives. They move away from the room past a control room with windows overlooking the room until they find a small storage room the turns out to contain cleaning supplies (I guess everyone has to have the floor moped now and then even Evil Overlords). There we carefully block the door and wake Lacy.*
*i groan slightly as I come to, sitting up and looking around* I feel like sleeping beauty waking from a long nap. *looks up at you* Are we on the other side? Why can't I hear them anymore? Did you do something to quiet them or am I still sleeping?
Neither as far as I know. The walls I saw have automated controls. I found the readings that tell how much water, saline, glucose and so on they're getting...and also a metered drip of, something else. I can only assume it's a mixture of some sedative and the mutation chemical. There's a large room where what looks like maybe 2 dozen doctors and techs are either controlling or monitoring them. We can break in there, but I'm not sure what good we can do. Even if we shut things down they'd overwhelm us. The best we could hope for is to escape. I think we need to go on and see if we can cut the head off.
*i stand and nod* I agree. Lets stop these people...there are other planets close by that have facilities as well. But if we stop this one hey will all shut down I'm sure of it.
* The place turns out to be huge. Riddick resorts to a second potion after he begins to reflect light again and Mike stays to the shadows where his cloak blends into it's background better.After another 2 hours there's an alert...apparently the guards have been found. From then on we have to be far more careful. Eventually we arrive at what seems to be a set of wide sliding doors set into a giant cylinder. The doors are heavily guarded. *
*I stand against the wall, counting the guards in my mind before I step forward away from the all, the cloak still hiding me* I'll distract them...you guys get inside.
*Mike and Riddick move to either side of the guards around the door, 4 humans, 2 orcs and a large attack animal of some kind. *
*I let the cloak slip away from my body, my wings shutting on either wide of me as I simple at the guards* Hello boys! *Their jaws dropped then they growled and began to walk towards me, not getting ready to attack, their eyes gleaming as I control their minds. They walk past me and I march after them, keeping them walking* Hurry up guys!
...doors are open see if you can get them to blank out at least till you get back here.* The doors open revealing a huge elevator...chairs, and small tables surround the large chamber as if someone expected to spend long periods of time inside.*
*I nod and keep the guards marching until we reached a small almost closet sized room. One opens the door and they all pile into the room, slamming the door behind them and knocking them out mentally. I rush back to where you and Riddick are, skittering to a stop, shutting the door behind me.* They are unconscious...I don't think that they will be found.
....at least for a while.So, up or down.
*Glances upwards then downwards* Well...you guys can head down and I ca go up. Riddick packed our ear pieces so we ca communicate if we got split up or need to split up.
You mean up some stairs or something? Probably a long way look how this thing is set up. And...do you think splitting up is a good idea?
No you guys take the elevator and I'll fly up the elevator shaft. It'll be faster if we did split up...and I'll be okay without you two. I can fight just as good as you two now. *smiles and steps into the elevator, pushing the latch up so that I could fly upwards*
Door of hatch refuses to open...main doors "snap" closed behind us...doors on one side of the huge elevator open to reveal a screen. A voice speaks from the walls : Bravo, bravo Ms. Eagle...you overcame their minds very well. I knew you would react well to the chemical. As for your friends one seems mostly a brute and the other...for some reason is resistant. Too bad, we can't use him, except maybe for research. Please be comfortable all of you. You have a long trip this is more than an elevator. You are about to be transported to our main research facility. The screen shows very little...just a man's hands stroking a cat, he's sitting at a table. *
*jumps back into you, shaking a little at the sudden voice* What are you talking about? Who are you? *I glance at I I then the screen*
Hummm....or should I say, crap? I think our secret may be out.* Puts arm around Lacy and lips against her ear speaking very quietly *
block your mind and don't let them see you sweat.
* Mike squeezes Lacy encouragingly and looks at the screen*
I believe we've met before...on the ship? I remember the white suit. Never cared for white it shows dirt and it emphasizes it when I put on a few extra pounds.
*I glare at the screen, putting up a brick wall in my mind, praying that it would work against whoever that was. I giggle at your comment* Mike, wasn't there something about not wearing white after Labor Day?
Is it after Labor Day??? I always lose track of dates when I'm space traveling.* Enough. We'll see how glib you are once we have you in our lab! *

*giggles and leans against Mike* Well they definitely don't have me as a writer. It would be more interesting and not so cliche. *looks back at the screen* Mike, can we go now? I'm getting bored...and you know it's not good to allow me to get bored.
I'm working on it...* Mike stands silently and concentrates several minutes...Riddick and Lacy begin to worry but finally Mike smiles. *We've been dropping about ten minutes now....must be deep. Uhh Riddick join me and pull a table over here please.
*i chew in a nail as I watch Riddick follow you to the table, looking at you curiously himself as he leans against the table and asking what you wanted him to do. I look back at the screen, not liking that we had been moving down while we had been talking*
* orders are being given off screen and we can hear talk then the "voice" returns to telling us we can't get out.Mike and Riddick are standing on table doing something at the locked trap door Lacy couldn't get out of...Riddick holding something in place while Mike places other things and then secures everything in place. They step down*
You're right of course no one could escape this room, however as you said I'm mostly just a...brute was it? Yes, thanks to you. And Riddick is a pretty strong guy to so...
* Mike turns to Lacy as he and Riddick place the tables so we can all get under them. *
Get under here with us and cover your ears...* Then he whispers to Lacy * As soon as we get the door open shoot out of here and see if you can get out completely out. Head for the ship. Riddick and I willbe climbing out behind you but if they start to run you down at the plane before we get there don't wait. Get word to the Rangers, and any other group you think can help in any universe. The Avengers or anyone.
* Mike takes aim and fires into what he'd rigged. There's a blast and he and Riddick jump out drag their tables back over and between them manage to rip the door partly open...open enough to for any of them to get through *
*I fold in next to Riddick and you and smile a mischievous smile once the door blows half way off. I jump out, fly up and spin upside down, my boots kicking the door up and off of its hinges, sending it flying into the wall with such force that it embedded itself. I landed on the roof of the elevator and disappeared from sight of you and Riddick. Once you two were out of the elevator, I step out of the darkness and without a word I grab you both, pick you up as if you weighed nothing, my eyes not a mixture of blue and green, and fly upwards quickly with you both* I'm not leaving you two behind! And neither will Tor. He's lending me his strength so I can fly and carry you two. *smiles at you guys*
*wind whipping by...Mike speaks to her * I had no idea you could do this...with guns, equipment and all i must weigh 400 pounds and Riddick is probably close to that. You pulling close to a half ton.....
*I look back down at you, smiling, my teeth as sharp as Tor's* Don't worry about it. With Tor I could probably pick up the space ship with only a little problem. *I look back upwards. Without warning I chuck you both up, stop, and pull open the elevator door before you two came back down into my arms* Sorry! *flies out into the corridor we had been in in the first place* Are they following us?
* Bullets begin to fly around us...there's an explosion where we just were....*I'm not sure but I think they may be.
*I glance backwards and continue to fly quickly down the corridor back towards the ladder that would take us back to the surface of the planet. I gasp and nearly drop Riddick as a bullet slams into my shoulder. I duck my head as rode bullets fly past me and an explosion shakes the area behind us*
Drop me I'll hold them off and clear the way. Once I clear them out if you're able you can grab and take me up the ladder...we have to get word out!
*I look down at you* No...I'm fine... *Riddick glances at you and shakes his head as the blood splatters on his shirt from the wound*
Lacy...what good does it do if you crash. Drop me I'll get past the ladder if I can, but you and Riddick have to get the word out! You've only got so much blood.
*Looks down at you* I'm not leaving you behind...I won't! I won't! *flinches to the left as the bullets kept raining into the walls around us, yelling and screaming being heard behind us* I won't let them take you away from me!
* Mike looks at Riddick* Make her get up that shaft if I clear the shooters out you can try and help me out. * Mike spins himself kicking off the wall to twist his cloak in Lacy's hands as he jerks the neck of the cloak open.*
*I gasp and turn, reaching for you as the cloak slips from my grasp* No...Mike please! *Riddick grabs my hand away just before I grab you and yank me away from you* Mike! *i stop flying but Riddick quickly changes hold, picks me up, and runs down the corridor for the ladder with me screaming to let me go*
* Lacy and Riddick hear the fire fight behind them as Mike simple flips his weapons to automatic fire, switching the magazines to explosive and armor piercing rounds... They reach the ladder, Riddick dropping Lacy to take out the two guards there and then he has to snatch lacy as she tries to go back for Mike. Riddick carries her halfway up the ladder climbing with one hand and then stops to wait.
In about fifteen minutes...the gun fire growing closer and closer as are explosions, smoke and flame, Mike steps under them a bit the worse for wear but still firing his weapons. *
I left a flame wall back there and held the bulk of them up for a little while. There are too many to stop, let's get out of here.
* Mike puts away one weapon and climbs up using one hand. *
*I stare past Riddick's body as he carries me, my eyes now a swirl of my green color and Tor's blue, the swirl almost like a tornado. The ladder shakes a little in their hands then stops. I snarl angrily, black stripes appearing on my face as if I was turning into a tiger. Under Mike's feet the sound of rushing water can be heard and a huge wave sweeps quickly past them and down the corridor towards the unsuspecting guards who were still chasing us*
* Mike rushes up the ladder as does Riddick trying to calm Lacy*
*my eyes narrow as I smile cruelly, the water rushing faster and faster, ice suddenly appearing on the top. I giggled a scary giggle as Riddick pulled me up out of the hole, my blood dripping down into the water, the water turning instantly red*
Crap, crap, crap....* break out of the hatch and head for the plane. a few guards are about but Mike drops them quickly and they reach the plane. Riddick tries to get Lacy strapped into her seat as Mike fires up the engines. Everyone is wounded somewhat blood puddles around Riddick's feet, Lacy's blood has slowed from her wound but it still needs attention. Mike's clothes hide his injuries somewhat though blood does drip to the floor.
Riddick is fully involved in trying to bring Lacy back to herself and get the two of them strapped in as the plane blasts into the air pinning everyone back under the gravities of acceleration. *
*stares off into space with an evil look on my face even when pushed against the seat from the blast. I blink once then looks at Riddick, the blue leaking out of my eyes and my green cat eyes reemerge fully* Riddick? What's wrong with you? Why are you shaking my shoulder? I'm fine...what's going on?
