See if you guys can plot that planet and see if we'll have to make another jump when we come out of this one. I'm going back to our room, get the nastyest guns I have with the most devastating explosive rounds and kill that guy in the ceiling...
Lacey can translate these papers that were with the map?
Translate what papers? *leans in closer to Arthur to see the map that he was talking about before, my wings gently brushing his arm*
* Shakes head and heads for my quarters *
*looks up after you* Mike? *quickly runs after you and gently grabs your arm, pulling you back towards me* No...no we don't separate with that thing running around loose. Please? Stay with me....I don't want anything else happening to you!
*takes deep breath, wipes sweat from brow* These papers here. I only maybe understand a couple of the symbols, looks cords, mentions something about Levaithons..
Look we have to kill this thing. It can't leave the ship while we're in hyperspace...but neither can we sleep while it's around. It's right now over the corridor outside the shuttle bay and hasn't moved for a few minutes. Probably healing...maybe growing a new arm. Sooner or later it will either on purpose or by accident do something to the ship. if the ship is disabled while we're in hyperspace...well we may never get out of hyperspace. We'd become a sort of Flying Dutchman till the food and water recyclers ran out then we'd starve...or go crazy. We need to kill this thing and stop it. Even if it doesn't damage the ship or kill us we can't let it escape to spread mutations elsewhere.
*doesn't let go of your hand* Then we'll kill together...please don't split up from us. *lets go of your hand and backs away, folding my arms over my chest giving you the choice to walk away or stay with us*
Can't we open the bay door from here and send one of the dogs into the duct works and chase him/it out into the deep vacum of space?
*glances back at Arthur* No not the dogs. It'll hurt the dogs. I'm smaller than both of you even with my wings...I'll go in the ducts.

Arthur...this thing took us all on, caused Lacy to burn all her energy, broke two of Riddick's bones...ripped me up, survived the loss of an arm and claw and still got away. And besides if the dogs hurt I'll feel it...Okay Lacy I won't go alone, but we need to go. Finish your meal and lets go kill that thing.
*spreads my wings to their full width* I'm still getting use to them...they feel alien to me but I am slowly accepting them. *looks at Arthur* Are you feeling ok? You seem to be sweating, Arthur. Are you sick?
...I have extra back in my quarters. What are you seeing Lacy???* scratches chin where what looks like a days growth of beard has grown in the last hour or so...*

*glances back at Mike* I don't know...maybe it's nothing. I'm done eating, Mike...I'll climb into the ducts and try to get him to follow me out. *heads for the closest duct and opens it*
*looks back at Arthur* The sight of what? You can tell me you know.
No...you just made the argument we wouldn't split up. Let me arm and get Arthur armed, then we can go in near where he's holding up. If you get into those tubes ahead of us we might not be able to keep up or shoot past you. Pleas wait...I'll get armed. Arthur can you keep up lets get to my quarters.
Ummm...Ummmm maybe later. Right lets go get this thing
*sighs and stands by the open duct* All right...*turns to close it when a claw shoots out and grabs me, causing me to scream* ARTHUR! MIKE! *swats with my claws at the arm but its not use, the monster gets a better hold on me and pulls me into the duct*
Grabs hold of Lacey and tries pulling her back
Crap, crap, crap...we're down to blades Arthur...if your unarmed maybe better try this * tosses gun from my holster Arthur * That's the only one I have on me and it didn't stop it earlier.* runs down corridor and gets to next access panel, rips it open and leaps upward falchion in one hand Montana Toothpick in other *
Shoot it if it comes out Arthur! And I think Riddick has a couple of large knives!
* As Lacy is being pulled between Arthur and creature Mike comes up behind it from next hatch and slashes at it's throat.*
*screams and pulls back as the monster yelps and screams in pain. Lands in Arthur's arms cowering and shaking*
reaches past Lacey and shoves the gun into the creatures eye socket and fires...It lets go of Lacey and we both fall to deck
* creature turns in tube and attacks claws and fangs rip as Mike strikes blow after blow with the two blades after a few minutes all goes quiet overhead.*
Mike? Mike...is it dead? *stays cowering in Arthur's arms, peering over at Mike* Are you okay?
* Blood of an almost black/green hue drips onto the floor plates and in a few seconds the creatures head rolls out and bounces on the floor...all remains quite*
*jumps and quickly buries my head in Arthur's shoulder when the head hits the ground* Mike...please answer me... *doesn't look back afraid of seeing Mike hurt*
* Dogs and cats come running down hall in distress and begin trying to get into ceiling panels...one of the cats makes it *
I untangle myself from Lacey grab the head and head for the open bay
*slowly stands and walks over to the duct* Mike...*tears were already beginning to form in my eyes* Mike..please...*lifts my hand* Take my hand Mike...please....
* Mike lays in the tube bleeding from several wounds (the cat licking one apparently trying to help). Mike is apparently unconscious...at best*
*covers my mouth and leans in closer, gently touching Mike's shoulder* Oh...Mike...no...Arthur! Arthur, he's hurt bad.
I reach the bay toss the head and slam the close lever and then head back to help Lacey with Mike
*tears slowly trickle down my cheeks and land on one of Mike's wounds. I laugh a little causing more to fall, my tears healing the wound it had landed on* Arthur...my tears....they are healing him.
* breathing but has lost a lot of blood and taken several wounds. Sword and knife drop to deck as you pull Mike from Tube. *

Besides what? Some sort of cat bird monster? I don't know. *looks away and looks back down at Mike, gently touchy his cheek* This is my fault...I shouldn't have opened the duct. I should have thought before I reacted. I'm so sorry, Mike, I am so sorry.
Lacey No thats not what I had in mind...I think we all need a serious drink maybe more than one, maybe two..
* Dogs and cats are crowding around licking at Mike's wounds and trying to get close. Finally mike opens his eyes a slit and speaks *Oh stop carrying on...anyone would think something big happened. * voice is rough*

Then what did you mean? *I whisper the question, my head bent down, more tears slowly trickling down my cheeks. I look up startled by the voice* Mike..I'm so sorry. *hugs him*
Mike whats your preference? Scotch normally works for me. And Lacey I was thinking more along the lines of absolutly georgous avenging Angel............

cough...cough water might be good, and then something with a good slug of sugar and caffeine...and then maybe hook me up to life support. I think I need a transfusion.* squeezes Lacy's hand * I think you're having trouble with this...I guess we all might when we have time to think. * smiles*
By the way...put all those body parts in the accelerator. We need to break them down completely to the atomic level.
Really..So Scotch all around,I lifted a bottle back on the bad guys ship thinking it might come in handy later and sure nuf it did
*looks down at Mike then back at Arthur* I think...I...*brushes some tears away and stands abruptly, turns and runs off down the corridor, entering my quarters and closing the door behind me*
Crap....*mike lays back and passes out dogs and cats huddle around him.*
