He's a bounty hunter...he'll probably work for whoever pays him. I'd say we go on the working idea that he's after all of us.

Well yippie...I'm going to go check on Scott. I hope he hasn't caught on to us yet. Riddick keep a close eye on that ship please. *kisses Riddick's cheek before I head off towards the sick bay*
* Calls after you* Could you check on the 2 Minbari left from the crew? They've been on life support since we got out of the mother ship.
Sure! *goes into the sick bay humming then stops and looks down at myself still covered in blood and makes a face* need to find new clothes and wash this stuff off.
*checks on the two crew members first and smiles* Mike, the two are pulling through. Looks like they will be fine by the time we get to the planet..they weren't hurt as bad as we had originally thought. *moves over to Scott and reads the screens sighing sadly* You may have been a bad guy, Scott, but you didn't deserve this...*gently takes his hand into mine*
* Leaves Riddick on the bridge. As long as we're in Hyper space the other ship can't really approach us...it's a 1 in 100,000,000 chance that it's even in detectable range. Check the animals and then finally go and clean up...removing several days of sweat, dirt and blood. Change to fresh clothes. Decide to check sickbay before I go get some sleep. *
*when you enter I am still sitting beside Scott, holding his hand, my eyes never leaving his pale face. I chew on my bottom lip as I look at the screens then back to him, my wings laying limp on my back*
So, how's he looking?* glances around*
Hey...where's the body of the guy....you know the one you...took out?
I cleaned up a little and put the body in a bag and in the corner over there. *points over to the far corner* And he isn't doing too good. I don't know if he is going to live....*lifts my sad eyes to look up at you*
Uhhhh....Lacy.....there's no bag in the corner, but there's a drag trail. * Runs to rear door *
The bag's in here, empty except for some blood. Call Riddick let him know we seem to have a walking corpse!
Awaking corpse? *turns around and shudders* All right stay here and protect Scott and the other two. *runs back to the font and tells Riddick. A few moments later we return, my eyes darting around and begin to sniff* I smell the blood!
* A large form races down the corridor...where his throat had been torn out there are thick tendons. His eyes glow red in the dark and is legs have reverse knees. He's larger than he was...before he was killed. He hands a elongated with an extra joint in each finger and long fixed claws. He leaps maybe 12 feet up the corridor *Crap....
*my eyes widen as I look at what the man had become. I move over to you, and place myself in front of Scott, my eyes narrowing and my claws extending* What is that thing, Mike?
I suspect that our late hosts had posted that gentleman in the bay and when he couldn't stop us outright he came along. Apparently when he died he got some kind of a dose of what they gave you. And he looks piss....err I mean peeved, he looks peeved.I suggest we terminate him with extreme prejudice...again.
What I have? You mean if I bite someone they become mutants? *lowers my head slightly* I made him?
No I don't think so. I think he was implanted somehow. It doesn't make since you'd be able to pass that on. I'm not a chemist but I saw the readouts on you. Your tissue changed, but you're not carrying anything. No I suspect this guy is some kind of experimental weapon...aimed at us.
Oh..*sighs in relief and looks back up at the monster* But what if he is a carrier? You'll have to be careful not to get bit or scratched, Mike. *grabs you and pulls you back as the monster lunges at you, trying to bite you. Catches the monster's wrist and growls, throwing him effortlessly back*
* He slams into the wall...uses a claw to rip away the door and hurls it at all of us catching Riddick and driving him into the back wall...the creature crouches to launch itself at us...*
*I glance back at you and smile, kissing your cheek before I shove you out of the way behind where Scott lay and turn, taking the blunt force of the monster. I flap my wings, driving us both out of the sick bay. Once outside, I push the monster off for me, quickly spin and hit the control pad on the side of the door, the door slamming shut and closing you and Riddick inside the sick bay. I press my hand against the glass once before I turn, claws and fangs out, attacking the monster, scratching and biting at him and causing his blood to spill just as he causes mine to spill. I blink a few times as we continue to fight, me pinning the monster to the wall, my skin color fading to white as I burn more energy and durn off the food I had eaten. The monster sees this and slams me back against the wall behind me, nearly breaking my wings from the force and causing me to grunt in pain. I catch so s claws and he pushes back against my arms, twisting my left and a loud snap echoes through the hallway. I cry out a scream of pain that is both human and animal as I do my best to hang onto the monster's arm with my broken one, his snapping jaws slowly coming closer and closer to my neck.*
[Out of character a moment...cool battle description, okay back to story]* Check Riddick...some damage but he shoves door off as battle begins outside door. I rush to controls quickly code in and unlock door sliding open just as Lacy's bone breaks. Dive and roll coming up across from battle and fire 3 rounds into "beast"...which he shrugs off as if they were bee stings (though possibly from big bees). As he releases Lacy and jumps back I empty magazine of my small/everyday carry weapon into it. The beast staggers a bit but recovers. It's wounds closing almost as we watch. I drop gun and draw falchion from under jacket with my right hand and Montana Toothpick from sheath with my left...just then Riddick comes out door still bleeding, with large knife in one hand and steel table leg in the other. *
Take off it's head, lets see it heal from that.
(Thank you hehe)*I slide down the wall, my broken arm close to my chest. I try to stand to help but can't stand, too tired and too weak* Riddick, Mike...be careful! He still could be a carrier and I don't want you ending up like me or him....a monster.
* Leaps forward to allow Riddick to get behind glances at Lacy * Stop fishing for compliments and get your strength * grins at her *

* dives under claw as Riddick repeatedly stabs creature in back, stand and remove creature's arm at shoulder with falchion...blood of a slightly odd color sprays across corridor. Riddick slashes for creature's throat but strikes it's chest. The beast slashes Riddick across abdomen with foot claws, slings him away, flips backwards and hurls itself at me. I in turn roll to one side kicking out with both feet redirecting it. My knife slashes it's back and it charges off down corridor.
I turn to check on Lacy and Riddick. *
*slowly stands up with Riddick's help, leaning heavily on him for support* Where did it go? *Riddick helps me walk over to you and I look up at you with blood sliding down my check from one of the slash marks, flinching*
Toward engineering. It shouldn't be able to do any real damage it's all locked down and restricted access. On the other hand the storage holds are back there and so are access panels to the engineering crawl-ways. If it gets in there we're in for a tunnel hunt.whoopee. * spoken quietly and a bit sarcastically as I hook you up to a feeding tube...order some actual food...bandage your wounds and then move to Riddick. *
*sighs and looks down at the feeding tube* This is going to be my life now? Getting burst of energy then collapsing? Not much of a life as a freak.
So far you've called youself a monster and a freak...and that's in the last five minutes. I'm going to start thinking you need therapy or something. * turns from Riddick, hugs Lacy...then brings her a milkshake, a soft drink, a steak sandwich...and fries.* Try looking on the bright side, you have to eat food everyone else needs to avoid. What you'll need to do is stoke up on complex carbs and keep some simple sugars. we'll get you some hard candy for now. You're stronger and faster now but like a sports car or a star-fighter you need to burn more fuel. * smiles places the straw from the shake in your mouth and turns back to Riddick's wounds. *Okay...some cracked bones, some contusions, abrasions, slashes...hummm, are these claw or fang marks...
* Riddick informs us he was bitten on the left side of his throat in the muscle. *
*sips on the milkshake thinking of what you had said until Riddick says he was it and sits up straighter, nervous and anxious, removing the straw from my mouth* Riddick...oh no! Are you feeling any different, any changes? Are you okay? *jumps a ittle when I hear a loud banging sound and turns towards it* He's on the move again. *stands up, pulling the feeding tube and begins to head towards the noise*
STOP!!! You've had a quarter of a milkshake. You won't do any good collapsing... Fuel up. Help with Riddick. Let me get to the computer screen. Maybe we can get an idea where he...it is before we get into the crawl tubes. It'll give you time to get some food into yourself you can burn in more than a few minutes....
*stops in my tracks and turns to look at you* All right...all right...*sits back down and munches on the fries and sandwich, watching Riddick to see if there were any changes then looks back at you* Mike? Did you get bit? *quickly stands and moves to you, touching your arm where there is blood seeping out of a wound* Mike? * looks at you worried*
Naaa....claws. Ooooookkkkaayyyy, motion detectors show we've got a very large rodent moving over our heads and toward....???? * checks readings, adjusts * the port storage hold. Did we get all the holds checked??? Never mind I know we didn't. What??? * Looks at door and dashes to it dropping forward quickly and snatches up that was cut from creature...which had begun dragging itself away by the claws on the hand. *
*follows you and looks over your shoulder* Gross! We need to get you hooked up to see if there are any changes to your cells. Please, Mike? * looks nervously at your arm then you, gently resting my hand on your shoulder*
Okay, just a second. * carry's arm to glove box and secure it inside...then pump out atmosphere leaving arm in near vacuum, leaves just enough pressure so it doesn't burst.*Okay let's do this quick...* hooks self up to computer and sets for full cellular scan of entire body along with blood chemistry. *
*stands beside you as I watch the screens and begins to gently clean the cut and bandage it* What does it say? Are you okay? Any changes?
Nothing yet.....hummm strange....I do have..something????* Pulls leads loose and looking bemused looks around and then walks out of sick bay. Hesitates in the hall as if listening and then turns left and walks up corridor *
Mike? Mike, where are you going? *chases after you and catches up with little effort, eyeing you suspiciously* Are you okay?
* walks on and acts as if I'm listening...you note that my musculature is hardening some...possibly a bit thicker...Stops before a door and opens it. Dogs and cats Riddick brought on rush out and around my legs. I look at you.*Can't you hear them? Their thoughts I guess and if I try...* a far away look comes into Mike's eyes * I can see through their eyes...freaky.
* stops and looks at Lacy* This doesn't make sense. Why would they make a mutating serum that spreads mutations??? At least positive ones. I mean I can see why they'd mutate beings negatively but why positively? Okay...we're not the same, but it's like they're making weapons that can be used against them.
Shhh, shhhhh * speaks to and pets animals *
*smiles down at the animals and gently picks up one of the cats, an all black cat with yellowish green eyes and snuggles her to me* I can hear them a little but I think I need to practice listening more or open up to it more. *looks at you* I don't feel so alone now...did that sound mean? I'm sorry...I...I shouldn't have said that.... *turns and heads back towards sick bay* Maybe because are are different, our intentions are different, the mutation comes out positive...or maybe the serum knows what it's being used for and needs fighters against those who use it for evil? Or those who were forced to make the serum made it so that they have warriors too?
Still don't get why this guy can pass it on...it doesn't make.... * Stops suddenly and looks at you *Riddick! We don't know what's happening to Riddick. If you're right he's got a bit of a dark past, his entire planet was wiped out...
* turns and runs back the way we came...animals start to follow but Mike stops and holds out a hand palm up and they sit in the corridor apparently to wait. Continues to run back toward sickbay. *
*puts down the black cat and rushes after you, my wings spreading and lifting me off the ground, causing me to move faster. I quickly pick you up and fly us both into sick bay to see Riddick waiting patiently for our return, checking on Scott and the other two Rangers*
oookay... Check the readings please Lacy. lets see what we got on him. I'mm check the motion detectors for our guest. * Shifts shoulders and undoes a couple of buttons. Muscles in chest and shoulders are thicker and corded. *Crap, I bet I can't wear my favorite jacket any more, and I'll have to refit my harness... * Loosens cross belt that holds falchion across back under jacket...and lays jacket aside leaving sword on back in view across back from left shoulder to right hip, hilt down where right hand can grasp it...Mike's beard and mustache seem a bit heavier. *
Now...yeah the guy, or whatever is in the tube that empties out in front of the shuttle bay.
*walks over to Riddick and smiles, laying a hand on his arm as I look at the screens. I laugh and look back at you* Nothing has changed for Riddick. I guess he is already too strange to be affected. *blinks at your changes* Wow! You look different, Mike...your beard and mustache... *nods to where there is a mirror up against the wall of the ship*
I'm baaacccck! seems as I was heading toward the landing bay I happened past the ships Wardroom. Stopped just to do a quick check and found a row of some damn good single-malts a shelf. I thought to myself "okay just a wee dram...' but then I thought it would be such a waste and well the rest is history. awhile latter when I came around popped a couple of JuJu Beans, stuck out my thumb and here I am ready to be use and abused....
My my Lacey arn't you looking good with those wings and all.
*glances over at Arthur, my green cat eyes smiling* Arthur where have you been? You have missed a lot of what has gone on....were you hiding somewhere when that creature attacked? Were you bit? The mutation will change you. Mike has been changed...I was changed by the bullet. *spreads my eagle wings and extend my claws and teeth for Arthur to see my mutation* Mike says I look exotic...what do you think?

Ahh...your awake, good. Be careful of that blood in the corridor it apparently carries some pathogen that causes mutations...oh and don't let that arm out of the glove-box. It's apparently still alive though we cut it off the mutated monster that's crawling around in the crawl tunnels overhead. I think the am was trying to grow a new monster so I assume the monster will grow a new arm. I've got it near vacuum to hopefully stop it's growing....I think that gives you a thumbnail sketch of what's happening around you...
*grabs some rags and a bucket* I'll go clean up the mess. I'm already changed, probably won't do anything more to me. *leaves the sick bag and begins to scrub away the blood*
Yeah it looks a slimy around here. Hey by the way I did find this envolope with some papers I can't translate and a map with these big whales on it and a planet with a big X on it. Think they could be of some value?
More than likely.... did you plot it through the computer to see which planet it is?
