*stops short and stares down the barrel of a gun* Wow! I guess I'm the same way. *looks past the barrel to see Scott holding it and Riddick fighting to get to me* Mike!

* coming from behind Lacy, Fires past Lacy's head smashing Scott's wrist and sending gun spinning off. Steps up beside Lacy...points gun at Scott's head and another at his abdomen. *Scott, you stopped and hesitated, a classic bad guy mistake. * smiles * You want to take him along, tie him up, drug him or would you like to use your gun?
*cocks my head to the side as I look at Scott who is staring back at me with almost a goofy half pleading smile* He might have information we can use. I say we drag him along, maybe get more of the plan out of him. *looks at you* What the bleep? Do all guys have to stare at me like that or what?
Ah-humm....sorry excuse me...we'll talk in a second. * holsters one pistol and quickly jams hypo into Scott's neck. He drops like...well like he's been drugged * Oh hi Riddick. What next? Looking everywhere but at Lacy *
*looks at Riddick* Can you carry him? *Riddick grins and picks Scott up and heads for the other elevator. I look at you* Mike? What's wrong? Why aren't you looking at me anymore?
...but you just said????.....oh drop it.sigh, crap.
You're confusing me, Mike...drop what? And I said what? *shakes my head* Are you okay, Mike?
I'm beginning to wonder... * sighs again * I guess I'm just out of my depth * smiles *Lets catch up with Riddick before he disappears again or charges another large group of guards single handed.

* reflects on life experiences and decides there are still a lot of things to learn *I'd suggest we be ready to fight our way to the ship...the landing bay could be crazy.
*let's go of your hand once we are inside the elevator with Riddick. Checks on my guns and positions myself closer to the door, guns at the ready* I hope they didn't decide to take our ship.
*Doors slide open...the bay is empty, except for the ships, a large number of bodies, a LOT! of debris. There are no guards anywhere, including supply areas. Some lockers are broken open. The escape prisoners have obviously armed themselves. The sounds of fighting filters through the walls from many directions.*Well, I'm not a thief, but since I doubt our hosts actually got their supplies legally, I suggest we resupply with any thing we find here we can use and take...a ship. There may be one that's a bit faster than the one we arrived in. Maybe even one a bit bigger and better supplied.
* Looks up and smiles* Like that one over there. I doubt they have any idea what they have there. That's a Minbari light cruiser. It's one of the fastest ships in existence...and I learned to handle one with the Rangers.
*keeps my guns trained on the ships in case someone comes flying out of them and charges us* Which one? Not the weird pinkish one I hope.

Lets see if anyone's on board and then we can see if there's anything worth looting, errr I mean salvaging from here.
*cocks my head to the side as I look the ship over* You don't think that the Rangers are here somewhere do you? If they are maybe they can help us stop Doom and the others!
Well they were obviously pulled in like were. I'd assume they were involved in trying to find out what's going down here...that doesn't mean they're still alive.Maybe we should get on board, check around and then wake Scott for some questions...* Flicks Scott's ear with finger *
All right...let's check it out and see what we can find out. I really hope that they aren't dead because they would be good to have on our side. I hope you gave the others you were in the cell with your number. They all would be great to have on our side too once we all escape.*runs to the ship and opens the door* Let's get inside quickly.
* Minbari body rolls out as hatch opens. Ranger uniform has a blaster hole burned through it. Well, I hope the others fared better. There should be at least 4 or 5 more in the crew. The entire crew should number 38 but a skeleton would be all that's really needed.
*looks down sadly at the body* Oh no....poor guy. *slowly walks farther into the ship* Mike there are a few here, alive...wounded it alive. We have to take the with us.
Let's see what we can do for them. Arthur and Riddick can help search.* lays Scott to one side and secures his hands and feet. Begins medical triage. *
How many have we got here? These 3 all have Ranger uniforms...2 are breathing. Let's get them down to sick bay and onto life support.
I hear something...below..maybe there are more ding down somewhere like how we did it. *helps you carry one of the breathing Rangers back to the back* We'll get these two on life support and then we can look for the others.
Wait...where's Riddick. * checks computer *Hatch just opened, I think Riddick is out in the bay. Lets go by the hatch on the way to check out the noise. We don't want something coming up behind us.
*nods* That's Riddick of you...always disappearing and looking for a fight. *sighs and hooks up the Ranger to the life support, being careful* I really hope no one is sneaking up on us...I'm tired and just want to rest from the fighting.
* after establishing life support we get back to the hatch and find Riddick, Arthur and a couple of others carrying supplies onto the ship. there's a man and a woman both dressed in combat worn clothes. *Okay...just secure the hatch when you're through. We're out of here as soon as we check out the noise in the lower part of the ship. I want to be well away before Doom or The Skull or whoever gets that tractor beam back on line.
*walks slowly off of the ship and looks for a hatch on the underbelly of the ship* Mike, do you see anything under here? I can't see to find a latch or a release button or anything. But I hear the noise getting louder.
There's a section there but we need to access from in here...well wait there is a cargo compartment but it's not pressurized normally. They'd on pressurize it if they needed to...it's not a good place to stow away.* walks under the ship after punching a code into a control panel. * The access is right here. Just press, that gives you the handle and then pull......
*comes over to you, my back to you as I raise my guns towards the elevator* Hurry, Mike! I hear the elevator moving and I don't care to find out if it is friend or foe. *glance back towards you* I don't think Scott's dad will appreciate that we have taken him captive either.
I don't know...he was always complaining that he wasn't an evil doctor...or veterinarian or whatever.* Door pops open and several dogs and cats drop out looking a bit worn and hungry. Mostly they simply run to us as if for comfort...Riddick scoops up several and begins to pet them. After a few seconds our first impression that there were several dozen animals settles down to revel 2 dogs and 3 cats.
Riddick carries them all on board without a word. I look at you and shrug. *
Guess he likes animals. Lets get out of here before we get company....
lift door opens as we're rolling in the access walk. *
*smiles as I watch Riddick* Yes he has a soft side for animals what can I say? *glances back towards the doors* Mike! W need to leave...now....
Hold them off and get that hatch shut. I can handle one of these with my eyes closed....but I'll keep them open.
*quickly closes the hatch and runs in front of the walkway, guns ready. Dodges a bullet as it whizzes past my head and a few guards appear* Mike! Hurry please....wait how are we going to open the large door to get the ship out of here? *fires back taking out two and dodging other bullets. Glances over to see Riddick beside me in a second, shooting and dropping two with the same bullet*
No problem...except for those guards. * Triggers forward weapon...blows out bay doors. bodies, debris...and the guards fly out into vacuum we blast forward throwing everyone...and everything backward at about a gravity and a half. *Oh better strap in * a shout * Got to get out of here before the force field comes up and seals that hatch!
*We speed away from the huge ship<?i>*
lets a get a jump solution quick then we can take a break and consider our next move.
*straps into the sea next to you* Okay umm...maybe we should jump in the direction we have been heading...maybe there is a planet or something in that direction that we can hide on.
Well, Riddick's home world is there...supposed to be a dead world. * looks at screen...touches the touch screen a few times *We need to go now. no tractor beam, but their heating up the main weapons and a dozen ships just launched from the defensive bays. I'll beef up the rear shields.

*quickly types in a few things into the computer* Yes! Punch it, Mike! We are headed for Riddick's planet...*spins in the chair to make sure everyone including the animals are strapped in safe* Oh no! Scott isn't strapped in. I'll strap him in..get us out of here and don't worry about me. Just hit it okay? *doesn't wait for you to respond and unlocks myself from my chair and rushes back to strap Scott safely into a chair*
Hang onto the strap...* jump to light speed...ship settles into smooth hyper space jump *
Okay. theoretically if they didn't jump with us they won't be able to bother us for... checks readings* 5 days till we come out. Let's get something to eat and drink...get bandaged, cleaned and planned.
checks on master computer * Our hosts in sickbay are about the same...looks like largely physical damage, dehydration and so on. they'll either recover or not. How's the arm?
*lets go of the strap after strapping Scott in who is slowly coming to and unwraps my arm* The nanobots...they didn't work. It looks like whatever they show me with isn't affected by them. *covers my arm with my hand as fresh blood comes out of the wound* No wonder I'm feeling a little lightheaded...
Let's get you down to sickbay and hook you into diagnostics. We need to get blood chemistry and readings right down to the cellular level. If they shot you up with the mutation goo at least there's a good chance you won't change species. Hopefully you'll simply get stronger and faster...hopefully.* Ties you into computer life support and diagnostics *
*follows you to sick bay and nervously sits down while you strap me to the computer* I'm scared, Mike!
Just watch the read out. These ships are set up for long deep space patrols they're pretty self sufficient the readings should be out in minutes... Ahh here they come, the first results are on your screen there. What have you got?
*takes in a deep breath and looks at the readings, my face falling* It was mutant goo...it is mutating my cells...*looks down sadly*
Okay....don't panic, at least not yet. Any visible changes? oh okay we've got cellular readings. humm, well no degeneration...some transition in the muscles...What's on your screen? You should be getting the details now, as well as what it will take to stop or reverse it...if we can. What's it say is happening to you?
*rotates my shoulders looking a bit uncomfortable* I'm afraid to look, Mike...ow! My back is starting to hurt...*looks at you, fear in my eyes* It feels like something is growing OUT of my back.
Okay stay calm...what's the read out telling you? * moves behind you and checks your back *
Okay some elongating of the shoulder blades...the scapula bone changed some. it's straining the uniform top. Hold still I'll slit the material over the bones.
The readings...what are the readings telling you?
*looks back at the screen* I don't know...aaaa! *hisses* I can't read the readings...my eyes are going blurry.
Crap, crap, crap... quickly hooks a feeding tube into your stomach strapping you on your side. adds an IV to each arm *
Lay still, your body's burning up all the nutrients available and demanding more. You're starving. You're getting food, glucose, minerals and water here.

Are your eyes any better??? Uhh, Lacy you seem to have pinfeathers here. The bones are still growing, that's why I put you on your side. I think you may be developing wings.
Can you read that screen yet? I can't leave this for at least a few minutes.
* looks up at you with newly formed green cat eyes then looked back down at the screen* ummm it looks like things are starting to slow down. My cells are forming back, mutated but they aren't dying...it looks like though I have some animal cells now. *flinches* Are you sure there are wings growing out of my back? Ow! It hurts...what color are the feathers? Pease tell me they are eagle wings!
...could be. They're still developing, fast. You'll need to stay on those nutrients till this stops and then eat as much as you can for a while. * you can feel the wings now. the muscles in your back are developing to give you control. the weight of the wings bothers you less by the second but you also feel as if you're starving. Still the pain is passing. *
Well, on the bright side they look functional. The feathers are growing in a golden color with a darker brown underneath.
And you're eyes are beautiful. Can you see better? I'd assume they'll allow you to see a farther distance since I assume also that in the right atmosphere you'll be able to fly...well, once you learn how.
Looks to me like the changes and growth have almost run their course. How do you feel?

Nice. Very exotic. You'll be beating suitors off with a stick...or alternately flashing your talons. there may be the inevitable catbird jokes...but believe me, your biggest problem will be guys thinking you're hot.Of course, clothes will be a....challenge. I had to slit the back of that uniform to most of the way down your back.
Happily this ship is set up to host dozens of species as guests. we'll have you some custom made clothes soon as you've had some food and drink...according to these readings as much food as you can eat, for several days. You need lots of protein, iron, the whole spectrum of nutrients.
