"I know! And his face was like so red. I actually thought I was serious!" Rory clutched her stomach as she laughed."Oh, and then there was that girl that just went up to you and hugged you and then started to have a conversation with you. And we didnt even know her. The expression on your face...God it was the best. You just looked utterly confused and I was just standing behind the both of you." Rory laughed again.
"And you didnt try to stop her from talking either! You acted as if you knew her."

"Probably because they find you attractive. I personally dont know what they see in you." Rory gave him a wink along with a teasing smile.

"Hey, dont talk like that. I was only joking. You know im not good when it comes to mushy stuff. But really Kol your a good guy, what girl wouldnt be lucky to have you?" Rory questioned."I mean, Im the one that'll end up alone I have to much of a damn attitude." She stated.

"Lets stop being mushy now." Rory said with a slight roll of her eyes, be smiled at him somewhat thankfully for the small boost of confidence."And anyways, I dont need you to kick arse, I do that perfectly fine by myself." She said with a smirk.

Rory winks at him somewhat cockily."And thats the way it should be." She said with a grin.

"So what are you doing once you get off work. I might skip the overtime as yet. Not to sure, depends on how well mum is." Rory stated.

"Music store sounds fun." Rory commented, yawning slightly. "Maybe they could offer me a job there as well." She suggested humourously.

"Who says? I reckon I could pull off wearing makeup and dressing in black." It was a well known fact that Rory avoided makeup altogether, probably to shave a few pounds off of the money that they had to spend.
Kaylee sauntered into the bar, her thumbs hooked in the belt loops of her too snug levi's, her long mane of hair thrown on top of her head in an saucy messy bun. The heels of her cowboy boots clicked on the wood floor as she slowly walked to a bar stool, plopping down on a stool. Kaylee glanced around, seeing a few other people milling about. She liked the happy, easy flowing atmosphere of the bar. It wasn't one of those sketchy bars with all the over tattooed biker gang guys, but instead a cozy beach bar, with walls plastered with things from surfboards to family pictures, a polished oak floor with different signatures wrote in sharpie scrawled across its length, and a worn out looking fan that blew a pitiful burst of air in the corner. The bar itself stretched along the inner left wall, the stools cushioned with old cracked black leather, glasses hanging from pegs that hung from the overhang of the bar. Smooth indie rock played on low in the background, accompanying the busboy's whistle. She was taking immediate liking to Colbie already.

'Maybe, but i like you the way you are, the not bothered look suits you' says Kol, he truly had never thought of Rory as a normal girl, she had always been Rory to him. Not that she isn't attractive, she is, but she always seems to be on her own level, the same way Kol was, seperate from most other people in a way he could't yet define. Kol looks up from Rory to see a gilr with log dar hair walk in, he stands up straight to wit and see if she will order or not.

"The not bothered look will have to suit me. I dont have the money to improve my appearence too much." She said with a faint smile, sipping at her drink and waiting as another customer entered the bar.

"How could I ever abuse you, your just too darn perfect." Rory teased with a grin."But by the way, that spot in your forehead has at least grown 3 times bigger than when I last saw you. And that was only yesterday." She winked at him.

"You could be Kol the cat man. Although it doesnt have as nice a ring to it as Kol the cat lady." Rory grinned.

"But now IM going to be forever alone. Whatever shall I do?" She feigned with a smirk."I will run away to antartica and sleep with the penguins." She said decidedly.

"Oh so thats how you wanna play." Rory said in mock hurt, her bottom lip now poking out slightly as she pouted. She put her hand to her chest in pretend hurt."And I thought we were best friends!" She wailed.

"And you'd so easily replace my stunning personality." She teased, fluttering her eyelashes mockingly.

"Nobody could replace you either Kol." A fainst smile played across her lips. She didnt know what she would do without Kol. Probably lose her sanity was the most likely outcome.

"Your not mad. I'd love to be able to write." Rory comments with a smile.

Rory rolled her eyes slightly."Thats not gonna get me anywhere in life though." She said with a light smile.

Rory raised her eyebrow before shaking her head."Face it Kol, I'll end up spending the rest of my life here in Colbie in cheap crappy jobs trying to support my family."

Rory rolled her eyes yet again."Im being realistic here Kol. I have two people you depend upon me to basically survive. I cant abandon them, and college is gonna take up to much time, I'll be unable to work and therefore there wont be any money. Its simple really. I've accepted it, you should as well."
Of course she hadnt accepted it, not really. But she couldnt let Kol see that.

Rory shook her head again."Its true Kol! I cant leave them, nor can I stop working. Uni is the only thing thats possible to cut out, and I have to for the sake of my family."

Kol's look doesn't waver, 'we'll see Ror, im not giving up on you, not ever' he says simply.
Rory simply huffed, crossing her arms and scowling at him."I hate that your so like me sometimes." She commented.

"Im not afraid to smack you." Rory told him, her voice now sickly sweet as he plastered a fake smile on her face.
"Can you remember that one dare you gave me, and I had to go ask that guy for toilet paper because I needed to take a shit. The look on his face was just hilarious." Rory retold the memory, laughing yet again.
