Why can't Jace be portrayed by Morgan Freeman or Will Smith

I am from europe. and i have never heard someone call americans stupid, only fat and lazy (sorry i don't share the same opinion). but this is why i think goodreads should have moderators who can block certain people from topics and forums. the only reason why catherine is bothering to comment is probably because she is bored and hasn't got a life aside from the internet.is all this really necessary?

No, I was just kidding about being European. But the stereotypical "stupid American" or "ignorant racist redneck" are both good trolling techniques. I am studying French, though, and I eventually plan to move there (trust me, I don't act anything like any of my Internet alter egos).

Also, you do realize that blocking only prevents me from viewing your profile or adding you as a friend, right? It's pretty ineffective here.

Even though they are both really good actors, Jace is pretty young, and i think they're too old for the role.

Okay, whatever. I'm going to answer your original question: Jace can't be played by an African American actor because he's white. Plain and simply put. And your suggested actors or way too old.

Jace should also be potrayed as the right age if the movie is trying to stay true to the book.
Your're right...if people were doing it solely because they want certain actors just because they were white, black, latino, whatever, that would be wrong. But in this instance I think most people want the character to be potrayed as the book is written and as far as I know Jace is white toned, 17, and probably won't be potrayed by black toned actor. I'm sure a black actor could very well act out a Jace like personality...the question is whether it would be as the book described...and it wouldn't be.
I'm a little confused though because I believe you know all this already and you obviously don't need or want me to explain it to you.
