Adding tags to book

Hi, I'm new here.
I just added one of my novels, and then realized I hadn't marked its genres. How DOES one mark the genre of one's book, especially after the book has already been added?

you cannot - the genres on GR are crowd sourced from users shelves.

You can shelve your book on your own shelves, giving the shelves appropriate names.

You can also set genres on your author profile

Actually, if you create a shelf name matching a genre name that will put book in that genre. Okay to put book on more than one shelf (e.g., "science fiction" "SF" etc.). Shelves at goodreads an odd mix of what other sites consider tags, categories and genres. And the genres here are somewhat crowd-sourced from shelf names.
