I'm not much of a Sci-Fi reader but I read and I thought it was very good. I also hear a lot about , , and . I don't know if that helps any, like I said I don't read it usually.

If you're still looking for sci-fi, I recommend Artificial Absolutes. It's a space opera with a female protagonist that's more about the characters than the plot. I don't usually go for sci-fi, but I really enjoyed this one.
