making discussion posts sort order "newest first"

Not sure if this is the best place to post this question but since it's the group I spend the most time perusing, here I am.
Is there a way to have my discussion posts show up in a different order? I would like them to show up "newest first" and they are defaulted to oldest first?
It's become a stronger 'want' since I started spending more time on looking at Goodreads on my phone. There, I can set EACH discussion to 'newest first' but it's something I have to do each time.

I don't know if you can set up the default that way - but if you click on the date link, above your post (currently), it will organize the posts so they are newest first

I only click on the "new messages" links, so it automatically takes me there, but when I just click a thread, it takes me to the oldest ones. I don't know if that can be altered.

I agree... the goodreads app is backwards and I hate having to resort every topic I read.

I spent a fair amount of time investigating this question and ended up finding that there is no way to set the default in the mobile app to show newest posts first. Annoying as it is, the method you describe is the only one I have been able to find. :(
