Need help with book title

I started to read a book from the library and have since forgotten the title. I believe it is a recent work within last few years. It opens with a young lady in a cafe and her Dad just pops in from a different time. I believe they are some sort of agents or police investigators with assigned levels of authority. I think they are trying to protect or recover stolen documents that are historically important. Did not get very far in book. Any help is appreciated!

This sounds like The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. I really like this author and am impressed by his imagination, but I didn't like the main character in this one. Overall fun read, though.

Is there a time travel book by Nora Roberts called Time After Time? I looked on Amazon for it after a friend told me about it but couldn't find it. Has it been published under a different name?
