What do you do for fun??
There's a lot of films coming out in the cinema this month that I want to see, so I think most of my non-reading time is going to be spent there. But I'm also going to see The Circus of Horrors next week =D
Oh my gosh those pics are amazing!! My wife and I oohed and ahhed at them for a while. We are both huge animal lovers so thank you for sharing Kayla :)

Funny I haven't heard of it. I live in Nashville well 10 minutes outside of it. There are a lot of country music going on around here. Nicole Kidman did a scene for a movie she is in down the street from where I work. Well, I'm just babbling now but I thought it weird that they have a show called Nashville and I have never heard of it. LOL
LOL too funny! Well it's only new this year so that might explain it :) Adele and I LOVED Nashville when we visited last August, but we are big Country music fans. Oh and the food was delicious too!
Another thing I like to do is smash the egos of my guy friends! Kinda mean but it's really fun! Especially when I arm wrestle them and I WIN!!!! :)

Don't they get a bit skittish? Never got to pet one before. They are too adorable. Baby animals are so cute. Always wanted to pick up a baby polar bear and tiger.
FYI - props on the volunteering.

ahah! It's pretty awesome!! None of them seem to realize how strong I actually am!! :)
For fun I like to do art, especially building art. I love riding my bike and swimming. Also, I like playing on the computer.
Awesome! I like snorkeling, especially with sea turtles, they're beautiful! I can't scuba dive though because my ears won't equalize, so I'm very jealous of you!
It sounds really sad but I don't actually have time for fun. I study science and it takes up a lot of time. I think I havn't laughed for real for about six months because school is so tiring. :3

Eek there's always time for fun! Anyone know any good jokes? We've got to make Melanie laugh!

Hey everyone! i like to go to ride my bike near the lakes, its so much fun!You are all invited to come to this new group called "THE bookclub", we are goint to talk about whatever you want so, enjoy!
I am a distance runner (for fun haha) but i just started training for triathlons so my free time is taken up with running, biking, and swimming. I do like to go to the movies too and obviously read! Although i dont get to do the later two as much as i like... my reading time is mostly taken up with textbook reading... Not quite as fun
Aside from reading, writing. A lot. One could, in fact, say that I am a slave to my writing, but I wouldn't have it any other way.But even my stories need breaks as much as I do, and when I'm not writing (or reading), I ride my Welsh pony, practice archery, play music (Irish fiddler), beadwork, embroidery, watch my BBC shows, go to the movie theater (when I can afford to; I love going to movie theaters), peruse bookstores and the local library, journaling, work on my blog, play tennis, go boating (my sister and I built a beautiful little wooden rowboat), and yes - shopping. Books, clothes, fabric, beads, scrapbooking materials (for journaling), shoes - shopping can be so relaxing sometimes.
But mostly, I write. :)

Wow cool, lots of interesting hobbies there!

Other than reading, I love listening to music on TV, discovering new music and so on about music. I love art, I draw pretty well :) I used to be addicted a little to TV, but now nothing is interesting at all :( Other than movies haha
And I love bicycling around, running, and skating :)
What kind of skating? Ice or roller or both? I love skating too, used to play a lot of hockey ;)
Roller, I have never ice-skated before. Unfortunately places where I live either don't have a rink or winter :( I want to try it out though. There is two rinks in the city, but they are too far off! Haha, I suck at hockey, I prefer to chase something that isn't so small lol
Most of the time I either read or write. When I'm not doing that I generally either work on crafts (cardmaking and knitting mainly) or watch movies. I also enjoy going for walks with my hubby and dog. From time to time other interests capture my attention too, like roleplaying (Dungeons And Dragons and such) or figure gaming (mainly Monsterpocalypse and BattleTech). It's a safe bet that you'll find me reading or writing more than doing anything else though.
I like to watch tv and movies, go to the beach, play with my dog and my little boy, play guitar and sing, read of course, write poetry.
I like to go to the beach, play board games, read, play hidden objects games on the computer, spend time with my kids and my family. I also enjoy going to museums and traveling.
Oh my...you are brave, I have arachnophobia, and there is no way I could raise spiders!
I actually think spiders are really cool, and can look at them when they are behind glass, or out in nature...but I can't stand them in my house, or being surprised by one!
I love hobbies...I seem to change them quite often. I just love trying new things. Things I do on my own beside read--draw, paint, scrapbook, make jewelry...I like just about anything creative. I also love making pottery, but I really need to practice, I'm not very good! I really just need my own studio with a pottery wheel...maybe someday!
I also LOVE movies, going to movies is one of my favorite things ever! I don't get to go very often anymore. :( I go to movies alone all the time, and people think I'm crazy...but I actually prefer it that way if its something I really want to see. No distractions. Darryl can't sit still very long, so he takes me to a movie like once a year! He took me to Beautiful Creatures for Valentine's Day, so that will be it for him this year!
Stuff we do with the kiddos--lots of outdoor stuff. Camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, picnics, lots of day trips. We also have lots of different friends that have acreages in the country, and it seems someone is throwing a party just about every weekend. Those consist of pot lucks, grill fests, bonfires, smores (of course!) fishing, horseback riding, lawn games, pool (billiards), and sometimes drum circles and fire twirling! There is something about sitting around a fire with a bunch of people late at night and everyone banging a drum and setting a rhythm...so much fun!

I love going to the movies alone, Jenny. I hate when people talk to me during a movie so if it's something I've been waiting for, like Hunger Games, I'll skip out on work and go on opening day in the afternoon. I see myself doing that with City of Bones. ;-)

Wow a musician, that's so cool! I don't have one speck of musical ability. Wish I did!!

Yay, someone who knows what I'm talking about! I did take the kids with me to Hunger Games, we went to the midnight showing and made a night of it. They were off of school the next day. It was as fun night! But that is really rare.

I'm not keen on spiders either. The spiders in my house and I have an understanding: if they don't come anywhere near me they can stay, but any spider found too close to me will find itself being evicted very quickly (by my hubby, because no way am I going near enough to them to catch them).I love to work with clay too. I'm better at making models of things than at actually doing pottery though.
Victoria, usually my hubby is the spider killer, or even the boys will do it for me now. But the other day I was cleaning out clothes in my closets, and I found 2 different spiders in the clothes, and I was the only one home! I quick found a shoe, and banged the heck out of both those spiders, until I was sure they were dead! I waited for hubby to get home to dispose of the bodies, though! No way was I doing it!!!

Ugh, spiders. Here, it's scorpions. My entire being shakes and I have no one else around but the dog (who usually finds them and alerts me by staring in fascination until I go investigate). I usually spray the heck out of them first using anything I can find in my cupboard (oven cleaning spray last time). That at least ensures they stay there until I can get the courage to smoosh and then pick up. I tremble for a good hour afterwards too.

OK, I can just about tolerate any spiders as long as they stay away from me personally, but no way I'd be going anywhere near any scorpions! Just because I'm a scorpio doesn't mean I like them!
