What do you do for fun??
I'm a TV addict too and also love Nashville. Reality TV is my guilty pleasure, especially Bravo TV.
My hubby and I love to camp and spend our summers doing that. We are also classic car freaks and got to car shows. It's all about spending time with family and friends.

Aww nice, life it too short, you should spend it with the people you love as best you can! Totally agree :) Yay Nashville!!
I do go watch a lot of movies but when I'm home, I hardly watch tv. I have a few shows I watch but not many. Anything outdoorsy is great. Hiking, camping, etc. But my favorite thing to do is wheeling. My husband and I both have off road vehicles, his is a 74 Bronco mine is a 99 Jeep Wrangler. Both have 38" tires, which allows the mud to fly and the tires to grip the rocks as we scale over mountain trails.
There's nothing like having the wind whip your hair around, the radio blasting, and some mud on your skin! At least in my life ;)
Wow!! That's amazing!! So cool that you do that, you're very adventurous, I'd probably be too scared of crashing lol!
I spend a majority of my free time either reading or here on GR (sometimes even my not-so-free time) or blogging, too. We (husband and I) also love playing games, like Magic the Gathering (card game), Carcassonne (a tile-based German board game), Settlers of Catan (board game), Dungeon Twister (board game)... pretty much whatever our friend Allen brings over when he visits or even just basic card games (like Spades, Gin, etc.)We also like computer games: Minecraft, Civilization, Heroes of Might and Magic, and I like watching my husband play Guild Wars 2
I like TV and movies, but usually only rarely get to see what I want (due to cartoons on for kids or no money to see movies)... but we have a decent DVD collection going and re-watch the Harry Potter movies quite often.
When it's warm enough we like to swim. I haven't been able to do it in forever (my GPS bit the dust) but I love going geocaching. (Basically using multi-million dollar satellites to find Tupperware in the woods- or urban areas- filled usually with McDonald's type toys) I also enjoy cross-stitch, stained glass, jewelry making, and drawing (although the first two I haven't been able to do for years because of kids and sharp/toxic stuff)

Brandy - My hubby and I would love that. My son has a Toyota truck that's all set up for mudding and rock climbing.
Alanna - I think you would be my son's dream mom with all of the computer games and Magic cards.

Hahaha... I don't know, I'm already 36 and married (for the second time)We're pretty 'nerdy' in our house, but we love it!
My oldest son has always been an "indoor" boy. His nerdiness started with Pokemon cards and it has grown from there. ;) He is 23 but still a kid when it comes to all those type of games. My youngest son is the exact opposite. He loves anything outdoors. I wish some of his outdoors love would rub off on the rest of us!
Well I love running and exercising, I'm super buff for a girl. Seriously, I love writing and reading obviously. I love the outdoors and I wish my family would go camping. I'm addicted to Goodreads, I love music, it's my passion. Um I enjoy annoying my family and my friends. :) That's pretty much it.

Lately, I've gotten into the Euro board games and have been playing board games weekly (Munchkin, 7 Wonders, etc.). Both me and the bf are huge computer gamers and lately we have been playing Borderlands 2. Everyone has their own preferred game and his is Starcraft 2, so we play that with his friends socially at the cafe.
Yes I'm a massive geek and I'm proud of it, wish there were more people who I could socialise with that had similar interests!
I also love reading (as you know) and spend lots of time on Goodreads and other forums. I review games freelance for an Australian gaming site called MMGN. I collect indie perfumes as well :)
That's awesome Jeann! We just adore all those board games... we'll try darn near anything at least once. We even played Monopoly again recently... Here's one that may REALLY throw people... we don't really do this anymore, but both my ex husband and current husband both did Amtgard. What is Amtgard, you may ask? Think mid-evil reenactment with foam weapons (foam over PVC pipe). Yup, geeky to the extreme...
You mean there are things to do besides reading?! j/k... sort of. Most of my spare time is taken up with my two-year old, but I like to run and work out. I've been training in martial arts for almost thirteen years and teach kids classes.
I really enjoy t.v. too though. Criminal Minds, Bones, Supernatural, Rizzoli and Isles, Beauty and the Beast... and more I'm sure :)
Oooh I love Supernatural too Rebecka, I've loved it since it was first released, its my favourite show.Alana, how did Monopoly compare now that you've played all these awesome board games? Luckily I found another couple who likes to play as well so we've been playing once every week-two weeks which is fun :)
Hehe that is hilarious! I actually have a friend who used to do that too. I gotta admit, I don't think I will be THAT geeky XD
Monopoly still isn't my favorite... it's OK, and I'm lazy with math so I like that some of the new versions of the game keeps track of your money for you. In high school, my favorite game was Speed (card game with regular deck of cards) and Uno. And Magic the Gathering is fun, but my husband and his best friend Allen get all pissed off when I don't see the 'best' move, but at the same time they will trick and manipulate me into not doing 'best moves' ... so lately I've just sat out of their Magic games because I'm sick of them messing with me. I LOVE Settlers of Catan and Carcasonne, and we've started playing a new game recently called Quarriors. We're also fans of adding expansions together to create massive hours long game sessions.
Hahah omg I loved playing Speed with my younger brother as well! I'm still the Speed champion bwahaha. I have heard good things about Catan and Carcasonne but haven't played them yet. I plan to own a copy of each soon though. Lately, we've been playing a lot of Munchkin (until it got a bit too nasty), 7 wonders with both expansions which is this awesome city-building card game, and Guillotine, and Fluxx. I also like Elder Sign too but it doesn't hit the table much. I also have Last Night on Earth but the rule book has put us off for now.
I'm actually going to this local board games club meeting this weekend where they get together and game :) It's going to be awesome!
Ohh... they are both worth owning. And there are so many expansions for both to make them unique, too. Settlers is probably the easiest to learn in the least amount of time, and it's my husband's favorite. Carcasonne is probably my favorite, but that's because it's harder to get 'screwed' completely in that game. But there are some EVIL things that can be done in Settlers if you are playing with cutthroats

Lol I loved that you just called yourself super buff! And there's no such thing as "just a girl" silly!

@Alana - Excellent, I bet those evil things in Settlers aren't as bad as Munchkin! It's fun and hilaroius but the whole point of the game is screwing your opponents XDHave you got all the expansions? I'm afraid if I buy one of them then I'll get even more addicted lol. I kind of scared my friends off by asking them to play all the time XD need to go and find people as keen as me
We only have one expansion ourselves, but our friend Allen has like 5 or 6 at least, but we usually only play with 3 of them.
And for Settlers, you have to be careful because it's difficult to distinguish the spin off games from the expansion

Brandy - Oh no. He just goes out mudding with his friends. Right now, his truck is sitting in our driveway with the front tires off waiting for him to fix it. He works at a tire shop and we joke about his truck being like the shoemaker's children. I think he is finally going to put it back together so he can go play in the snow with it. Do you go to competitions?
When I'm not reading, I like to play The Sims 3, play games on my Xbox, like Gears of War 3, Star Wars, Fable etc. I also like to watch films, (I have even more DVDs than books) and listen to music. And when the weather is better, I like to travel into London and visit Museums :)

LOL, I remember Sonic! One of my co-workers used to play that all the time.
What do I do for fun? Write of course! And play with my parrots, travel and take lots of naps.

Mmmm naps LOL. I actually like the idea of naps better than naps themselves. Because of my OCD I have too many things going through my head that need to be done and so I can never sleep, even at night. I'm a bit of an insomiac :)

Haha XD I mean that I don't go out or something. I hate that. xD To many people. =)
Omg Adele and I are cracking up at lunch reading this! Ah Tay, I'm so glad you're in this group :)
Tay - You need to be a writer! Such wit and charm! :)
Sports! Anything with a ball in it and I'm there (except for baseball. I got pegged in the nads once while swinging...most embarrassing strikeout ever and the nickname "Nutstrike" has stuck with me since). Snowboarding is also a must for me, it makes winter much more bearable.
I also enjoy writing (do other writers space out as much as I do, daydreaming about their stories?), reading anything that's different and exciting, and meeting new people that are happy and positive in nature.
I have 4 kids. 3 1/2, 6 (on Dec 27), 8 and 10. This school year is the first time in 10 years that I do not have a baby inside or outside with me 24/7.
So I made sure to give myself plenty of free time in the mornings while everyone is in school!
In those glorious 5 minutes I enjoy breathing normally.
:)

Omg your nickname!! Rofl :) Happened to me playing goalie in hockey without a cup on lol!
And the spacing out, uh yeah, much to Adele's frustration sometimes. I'm usually lost in one of my worlds :)

well i enjoy sitting down with a warm coffee, sleeping...and crafts' like crochet, card making. I've made a couple of teddies for my kids out of felt, they look pretty cool.
@Ally and @David I think you can tell if someone's a writer by the dead panned looks on their faces as you're talking to them.
My wife is a victim to it..."so I was thinking of making pumpkin soup for dinner, what do you think?"..and my response...."What if he discovers that the birthmark on his left but cheek is really a map of the lost fairy world of Falala that's been overrun with zombie vampires?"

Adele and I are movie lovers and usually see a couple of movies a week. We are also TV addicts (I know, couch potato city!) and like singing shows like American Idol, X Factor, and the Voice, as well as other shows like The Mentalist (Simon Baker is so funny!), Grey's Anatomy (Best. Show. Ever.) and new favorite, Nashville :)
We also love hitting swimming and playing tennis, which gets our lazy butts off the couch.
And yeah, I'm pretty much obsessed with spending time on Goodreads too, which I'm sure you all can tell. Making new friends and meeting fellow YA book lovers is my favorite thing of all!! Now over to you...
