For all of those who have not read this author, you need to. Her books development of characters are one of the best I have seen in a while. Her story is complex, interesting and exciting. It has a taste of BDSM in it, but does not have anything to do about that. The how and why the characters came together is the story. The fact that everyone in the story do what they do for someone else and not their selves is amazing. She has written, The SirenThe AngelThe Prince. All of them are different and you really have to read all three to understand the complete writing style. I have to say, the last book in the anthology will not be out until August 2013, which is a bummer. The Priest These books are like Thorn Birds, Gabriel's Rapture, some fifty, some Sylvia Day, but the maturity and depth of these characters is even better. Please let me know your thoughts about this author and if anyone feels the way about this book.

I have to agree with you. I find that you can tell by her writing that she has a BA in English. There isn't a lot of gratuitous sex invloved. If there is, there is a purpose for it. I also find her character developement really intriguing. The series draws you in. At first there is shock, then you just have to keep reading to see what happens. In the Siren I found it believable the editing process. The thing I found with the next book is not only are there back stories further developed you get a sense of why they are the way they are. I mean when you are first introduced to Soren in the first book, you have to admit that there is " You have got to be kidding me! moment" You really despise him, then in the second novel you slowly come to understand him and in a way sympathize with him. All the characters are like onions - bring tears to your eyes as you peel back the layers.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of the novels to see how the plot twists and turns.
One thing I have learned with Tiffanys writing is, nothing is as it appears.

I agree with what you've both said about these books. They have just been incredible to me. The writing style has been a breath of fresh air. And you're right about the sex. It's in there for a reason, it's developing the plot. It's not in there for just kicks and giggles. I hated Soren at first. I was really shocked when I found out what he was and there's a little bit of disgust that goes along with that knowledge. But as we delve deeper into the story he's become probably one of my favorite characters. He's really gained a lot of sympathy from me. Kingsley. Oh my gosh he really developed in this last installment. I love him I think as much as I do Soren. I'm waiting on pins and needles to find out what Nora does next. And I can't believe we have to wait so long! Reisz is an incredible storyteller.
