Michael Solomon | 4 comments Judging by the copies I once saw in a closed bookshop, the book would be from the 50s or 60s. Yellow colour predominated in the book jackets. The other salient facts I remember: hard cover, smallish format (5.25 x 8.5 roughly), 2 volumes, possibly in a scientific series or a cheaper reprint of an earlier edition. Published by Cambridge University Press. The subject is man-made design and structure (engineering, architecture) and their origins and counterparts in the natural world. Also dealt with the mathematics and theory entailed. Wish I had written down author and title!

Michael, are you still looking for this set?

Michael Solomon | 4 comments Yes! Thanks.

Serendi This definitely isn't the book (published in 2000), but if you find it you might find your book in a references section: Shape and Structure, from Engineering to Nature by Adrian Bejan.

Justanotherbiblophile | 1814 comments Another thought, maybe call up Cambridge UP and see if they have a catalog, or someone who's been on staff for awhile and that you could chat up.

That's a good candidate, Serendi! I'll definitely look through the bibliography. Thanks.

If you do find it Michael, be sure to come back and let us know what it is. It does sound interesting, and might be a good purchase for my oldest grandson, who is interested in that kind of thing too.

I will! Thanks for your interest.

Justanotherbiblophile | 1814 comments Ann's not the only book-whore on here. I too would like to know more about what's in this book, so not only the title/author, but if there's not a description up on the internet, a review as well :D

Hope you're having a lovely day :D
