This thread is a place for any Group Members who write a blog to post a link or maybe an excerpt for their blog here. If you are a regular blogger you may post one thread under your profile name in this group to put information about your blog, links to it, or discussion about the articles you have written.

All of Goodreads Terms of Service (TOS) apply to any post. Links or entire blog articles that can be transfered in one or two posts are acceptable.

Discussion about blog articles is acceptable too, though moderators may want a single thread for discussion of your blog in this section if there is a lot of discussion.

Thomas, I once bought a house from a gentleman farmer whose name really was Sam Hill. ;-)

Henry Brown (machinetrooper) Did gentleman farmer Sam Hill live in Tarnation, Patti?

Ahem. I run the Two-Fisted Blogger. I haven't blogged much the last couple weeks because I've been busy with a blog tour. But in February I'll be swingin' for the fences once more.

The gentleman farmer, Sam Hill, lived in Natchitoches, Louisiana. ... OK, I'll give you a hint. The town is pronounced NACK-uh-tush.

Thomas Hay (wwwthomaslhaycom) | 14 comments Your not pulling our leg, are you? You will never guess where or how that one originated.

Henry Brown (machinetrooper) Ok, got it. North of Smithereens but east of Kingdom Come.

Patricia (pattipunkin) | 267 comments Don't know whom you are asking, but Natchitoches is the oldest city in the Louisiana Purchase.

Lance Charnes (lcharnes) | 226 comments Once again, the present catches up with the future: the Los Angeles Times reports on the growing use of private security firms and private investigators to carry out work public police forces used to do.

The Times reports, “The U.S. private security industry is expected to grow 6.3% a year to $19.9 billion by 2016…"

Grant Gardiner | 14 comments Hey everyone. I have a blog I post on for my writing. I'm putting together a pulp series set in an alternate 1920s America where the United States has collapsed in on itself. Biplanes and skypirates and gangsters and mad scientists ensue in the golden age of adventure. A world in which my protagonist - Tommy Thunder - is joining a privateer escadrille to sweep away the skypirate plague afflicting the Caribbean...

On the blog I discuss the two different worlds I bring together with my writing, Dieselpunk and Pulp, so there's a lot of stuff for people who are interested in those two topics.

It's addy is http://www.tommythunder.blogspot.com

Happy blogging :)

That reminds me of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow with Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow. The design aesthetic of Dieselpunk is a lot more accessible to me than Steampunk. Good luck.

The desil-punk song of the week's pretty fun too. I'm not usually a Christina Agulera guy either.

Zuit-Suit Bogey next?

Grant Gardiner | 14 comments Thanks guys. It is a fun genre/style.

And I did post a zoot suit clip in a previous post, that crazy dance scene from The Mask. Loved that movie as a kid :)

message 14: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Nothing cooler then a man in a zoot suit and if he dances too?!?

WOW...hold me back... ; )

Sure, your blog-link is welcome here. I wanted to "like" it on facebook but I didn't see the FAB for that.

Galen Watson | 48 comments Saint Malachy and the Prophecy of the Last Pope

The media is abuzz after the announcement of Pope Benedict’s pending retirement. Not just the usual speculation about possible candidates, what country they’re from, or whether they’ll be Italian, but also a medieval Irish saint’s prophecy about the last pope and the Biblical end of days.
