You should really read the books in order. Reading
before you read [bookcover:Ghost Story|8058301. It will explain where each story falls and how/why it's important to the series. Happy Reading!

I read them in number order, Storm Front, Fool Moon, etc etc, but I read the Side Jobs stories in their correct places, like I read A Restoration of Faith before Storm Front and Vignette between Death Masks and Blood Rites, and so on :) That way you read them all in order. I haven't read the graphic novels.
Yes, I agree, read them in order, but be prepared to read them again. Many Dresden fans read these books several times. Enjoy!:D
So from general consensus, I should read novels 1 - 12, then "Side Jobs, and continue with 13 and 14.
read storm front first to get used to the characters then restoration of faith. then read the side stories in order.
Katy wrote: "So from general consensus, I should read novels 1 - 12, then "Side Jobs, and continue with 13 and 14."I think it would be the best way to go. Because even though Side Jobs has stories that take place between books, I would read it after changes because the last story takes place after changes and between Ghost Story.

So my ultimate question is should I read them in the order they were published (all the novels first?) or the way this site shows them chronologically: http://dresdenfiles.wikia.com/wiki/Ch...
