I'd say, yes - our target date would be the end of January, but we can still discuss it after that - so if it takes anyone longer, that's ok.
Picked it up from the library today! Excited about delving into the backstory of Kal El's family!
So…has anyone started it yet? What do you think? I'm about a quarter of the way through it and I'm enjoying it so far.

I got mine from my local library...
If you have to buy it you could try Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Last-Days-Krypt... it looks like there are some cheap ones. Or Barnes & Noble (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/last-...).

Yeah...I'm about halfway through. And I'm enjoying it. But for some reason, I'm not really drawn to the characters. And I don't know if that's Anderson's writing, or just me having 30 years knowing who Jor El was...

.im jus starting this online comic club thing.are there any place to download a epub file of all the books? i seriously would lov to start reading books.but i just cnt afford buying hard cover ones.
im stuck with my pc and fone. and read epubs and comics on my fone.
i hav many hard cover books but they are all horor and thriller novels. no comic book hero villian ones. anyone that cn help?or do u guys not do the .epub thing?
just a intersting trivia question : who is fimiliar with the darkest night saga? dc comics. it runs through all the magor dc comics.the black ring lanterns kill super man batman etc. and possess their bodies.etc etc.
anyway..my question is. would a red lantern ring mak the hulk stronger? i wonder ...if he would regect the ring or except the ring.
any intak?
thats where i actualy got my name. i think he would finaly b able to beat most comic book beings.

redlanternhulk, I'm not familiar with epub...does anyone else know anything about it?
The Kindle version of the book on Amazon is $6.99 (http://www.amazon.com/Last-Days-Krypt...), but you can get books for as low as a penny. Unfortunately, I don't know how much international shipping is. (Most tablets and smart phones have kindle apps, and I'm pretty sure there's a kindle app for PCs if you could go that route.)

Jim , You are ahead of me in the reading but there is alot of crime on Krypton ( they spend a lot of time telling us how great it is). So far Zod murderer ( a know main villian) Nam-ek kills, his father Bel-ek was a treat for the whole family,The Butcher of Kandor, the ruling Council takes bribes (if you believe Zod). I think people on Krypton wear "red color" glasses With hardly any crime or injustice is like Vulcans do not have emotions.
I can hear them now "Everything is fine and nothing is wrong with the planet."
I enjoyed this story. One thing that I noticed was that I didn't really get into the story and care for the characters as much as I do in other books. I don't know if that has to do with Anderson's writing, or because I brought so much to the book, and kept imagining the opening scenes of the 1978 Superman film and super-imposing those images over the book. I just didn't get absorbed into the characters like I usually enjoy, and kept a bit of objective distance. Almost like I was, instead of reading a story as it transpired, I was reading a bit of history, knowing what Kal-El is like all grown up, and reading about some of the players in his life before he was born. But I can't necessarily fault Anderson for that.
I've put more spoilery info into the other section...

That's an interesting point! This is what makes Zod a gray character. He is obviously "bad", but he also knows when to act. (Will probably say more in the "spoilers" section...)
