I think my favorite this year is

Not only because it's an awesome book, but it was the first book I really got to enjoy with my teenager. Not only did we both pre-order the signed copies, read it at the same time - we also went to meet John Green when he was touring with his brother Hank.
I've read books with my teen for a long time (since she was in third grade) and this was the first time we really got to experience it together.
And it's just such a great book to get to read together.

Someone asked me this on another forum and it really made me think. I've read over 250 fiction and non-fiction books this year and..."
(and I just put a hold on this book at the library :D)

Really, wow??
Jay, is there one thing that stood out about this book? I'd love to hear more.
another group did this as a "group read" and their comments kind of scared me away from it...it's good??

I just really liked the main character
She's brave,funny and a awesome assassin
All of the characters were cool
The author said it might be a six book series

thanks jay!! :D

Well I still got some books I am looking forward to and want to read. Almost up-to-date with my library books so I can start on those. :)
I will probably pick a fav around 30 December. :)

but

Gee finished already? lol... I am still in chapter 10 :P

I thought that book was 'okay' it was pretty disappointing in my eyes. I just thought it had such a stereotypical 'plot twist' if you can call it that, and the love story was so unnecessary and out of character :l

Are you going to read the sequel?

There are like 4 or 5 novella also, right?

From what I'm aware of yes, they do sound interesting as to how she got where she is to be honest. I'll probably read the first one of those before the second throne of glass book.

What are they?

I would have to go for

I cannot wait to read it :D

What are they?"
That is a secret. :) I got some candidates for both, I am waiting for 2012 to almost end before I will pick one for both. (since I still have enough to read (either Dutch or English)). :)
But I am hoping it is ok for me to pick two (one for each language).

I love this book! I really, really do. Am I the only one? :)"
I love this book. I enjoyed reading it. It's thrilling and a page turner.

I loved this one! Definitely on my top five!

Wow, I impressed that you were actually able to pick just one from 250 books! Well, If you say so, this is my next book I am going to read.
Thanks for sharing girls :)

That's on my 2013 tbr list :)"
It was absolutely amazing:D

It is still, in my opinion, the No. 1 YA book this year.

For Dutch I pick:

The Snow Child was absolutely amazing. It took my breath away and is one of my 2012 fave reads.
I don't know what to pick for number one... Maybe

While it didn't come out in 2012, my favorite book I read in 2012 was definitely Catching Fire. So many twists and end-of-chapter cliffhangers always made it hard for me to stop reading. I often found myself going and going in order to finish it. Can't wait for the movie later this year!!
Ugh. A bunch of my fave authors had really let me down in 2012. But I guess my fave book of the year would either have to be:
or
.

Hallowed seems like a nice book, might go and see if I can find book one.

LOL. Thanks for the tip! I never really posted pics before, so the tip was needed! :)
Hallowed is a sequel, so I suggest you read Unearthly first if you haven't done so. In advance, I'm Team Christian. ;)
Thanks again!

And ah, it is a sequel? Then I will see if I can find Unearthly and see if it is good. :)
Team Christian? What teams do we have?
You're welcome, thanks for letting me know about Hallowed.

There's a Team Christian and a Team Tucker. Christian may seem a too-perfect guy in the first book, but wait until the second before you decide what you think of him (though I was all for him since book one. *Rolls eyes* Me and my pretty boys...).
Enjoy reading!

LOL. Well, the anime was SO different from the manga, that they're remaking it to match the manga story-line this time around!
