Introductions
Hi, I`m Jennifer from Germany, studying English and American Studies. Love to read all sorts of books. Hope to have a great time with all of you :)
Hi! I'm Camila. I'm Colombian. I would really like anyone to recommend me books (I am open to anything). Reading is like a necessary extension to my life and sometimes I just ran out of books because I really don't know where to look for books.
Hi I'm Tara and I'm from East Anglia I've been an avid book worm forever, my stepdaughter is about to come live with us and she's a bookworm too (introduced me to Goodreads) so don't know how hubby will cope lol (he took 2 and a half years to read his last book) looking forward to getting to know you better
Hello! I'm Mark McLaughlin, author of Beach Blanket Zombie: Weird Tales of the Undead and Other Humanoid Horrors and Best Little Witch-House in Arkham: Weird Tales Out of Space & Time, among others. I live in the Midwest and love old horror movies -- the older and cheesier, the better. I'm no movie snob: I'd rather watch CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS than CITIZEN KANE. :-)
Hi I'm Linda. I was born and lived in Manchester for most of my life but moved to Australia 11 years ago. I am a teacher librarian so it goes without saying that I love reading and discussing books. I am afraid I have already joined in a couple of threads as they were books I had just read or were old favourites!
Hi Everybody,My name's Wendy and I'm happy to join this group! I'm a freelance English teacher and life coach here in Berlin, Germany. LOVE TO READ (as we all do) and am just getting ready to dive into "War of the Worlds" on this rainy (great for reading) Sunday! :-)
Warmest....
Welcome to the Book Vipers Wendy.
I'm envious of your rainy reading Sundays - don't get them so much where I live now :)

Hello my name is Sam. I'm from Brighton and ever since finishing my literature degree 2 years ago I've been yearning to discuss books again! I currently work as a Project Manager for an e-learning company.
Welcome to the group Sam, I sure you will get lots of inspiration for books to read here. Feel free to add me as a friend
Hi all. Just joined Vipers. I'm an avid reader and sporadic writer of short stories. I'm about to start War of the Worlds. Just finished Edith Wharton's Age of Innocence... my last favourite reads have been The Reluctant Fundamentalist by Mohsin Hamid and Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Glad to have found this group! WKF
Thanks for the welcome! I teach 19th c. American literature and I read...a lot, both older works and current ones. I love Hawthorne and Melville, but I'm also about to start Mantel's Bringing Up The Bodies. I'm also an author of contemporary historical fiction, with a trilogy just coming out. Happy to be part of a readers group!
Hi, I decided to join when I saw your discussion on 2nd hand bookshops. I am a Bibliophile that is coming under increasing pressure from the 'Best cook in the world' to get the piles of books that clutter the floor, onto shelves, however I ran out of shelf space long ago lol.I would move to a larger house, but like many I am part of the reason for the Credit crunch, and which comes first Books or eating, well I don't need to take any weight off?
I live in Wakefield, have written a thriller (unpublished and needs editing) also I have written the first volume of 'A concise History of Medievel England and the English' (The Dark Ages)which is out as an ebook and does okay.
I also keep adding to my next book and writing short stories, also I work too many hours paying off debts.
I stumbled across this sight a few months ago and I love it! Great suggestions for future reads and I love seeing my progress on the book challenge. It is however slightly depressing when I see how many books are on my to-read list with more being added every week! Oh well-I guess it would be everyone's dream to sit and read all day every day! For a wee while anyway :)
Welcome John, I enjoyed your intro :)
Welcome too Jennifer I think "So many books, so little time" is true for many of us!
