Probably not the end.

First off, this was a good book to a great series. I started the journey with Talbot fairly unsure of the writing style (just got off some serious style zombie books where outside of the odd joke, was no nonsense endless brooding types..which was good.). Took me about 1/3rd of book forcing for the first novel before I genuinely became interested in this family.

But after that, I was hooked. Very concerned for the well being of the Talbot family and their friends, etc..and the writing style went from unsure to fantastic (in its "amateur" way, which was the beauty of the journal peering view).

Mark Tufo (M.T. Mike Talbot/Mark Tufo) did something here that is quite impressive. the characters had depth and feel.

Following are spoilers..

So this is then not the end of the series..it simply cannot be, unless plot holes and wonderings are meant to be the new norm..
What is left open?

-BT of course and his growing infection, not to mention Justin also with his bite and his dwindling supply of shots.

-Ms. Den at large (and although a "bad" character, she was shook up with the "brimstone" comment and even started being slightly more human). I am wondering if she simply accepts hell, or will slowly attempt redemption (although she dug a pretty deep hole to crawl out of, and 50 years of superb---h mode is bount to stick.

-What the hell is going on in New Orleans, and how does that fit in to the story?

-Talbot and Tommie's soul searching (so to speak) and the part the witch will play.

-There appears to be a stalemate with the zombies...whatever that means (stalemates in such a situation will end up with a extinct species over time..

-Doc is still missing, yet new and interesting zombies are still churning out. Eliza worked alone, so erm..where is doc and who is holding him?

-Eliza's soul. What was once in purgatory, then held captive by the shaman, then released so the indian could grab eliza's erm..demonic whatnot...that part wasn't explained well enough

-Explanation on Tomas going from a fairly normal young adult, a western frontiersman with a seemingly deep seated focus, to a seemingly mentally handicapped walmart employee, then back again...granted, he could have been acting, but the "shared dream" of the candyland seemed to show otherwise..was there an encounter with eliza that snapped his brain a bit in the past so he wouldn't be so efficient?

-The significance of the Talbots overall (the last memory shared from zombire eliza and Victor Talbot).

-The fate of Trip and Stephanie (and the poncho!)

-What were the "witches" in the head of Tomas? This was never truely pressed upon, nor any of his abilities outside of your standard vampy and thrall stuff..but the fortune telling, the ability to communicate with (a?) god, etc.

-Will Glenn ever be confirmed dead? He wasn't there in Mikes NDE (but he was in his projection), so there is a bit of a curiousity...also, what of Margaret and such (Rons family)

-Some other considerations not necessary, but would be nice to touch on: Society rebuilding, nuclear power plants shut down befor meltdown, community rebuilding (and military/milita to counter raiders)

-Whats going on around the world? (contact with overseas?)

-What the hell is wrong with Henry's digestion!!!

I am sure there are more, but once I shut the book, I was left with more questions than answers. Mr. Tufo hopefully left all these things unanswered for another book (or 4) on this series. It is a joy to read his work, and will read his other stuff while I wait for book 7. If he doesn't however write a book 7, I will immediately become a Yankee's fan and write a fan fiction book about a zombie named Bucky Dent eating Michael Talbot and Henry!

"-What the hell is wrong with Henry's digestion!!!"

He's a dog, lol. I'm not sure if you have a dog but they can be a gassy lot (hard to decribe how putrid the smell can be!).

I would love to see another book. Maybe your threat will make it happen!

#6 is my ATF of the series...and 7 was awesome too...and now we are getting a #8...so I guess it all worked out!! :)

I threaten Mark all the time, im even planning on living inhis back garden until he does ZF7, which will not be easy as i live in the UK, but this is how much i need another book just to tie things up! im sure he will he cant keep talbot locked away to long now.......can he????????????????????
