1. Duncan Honor's Splendour
2. Lyon The Lion's Lady
3. Brodick Ransom Hmmmm, seems to be a trend...

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments I remember liking Steve Morgan way back when I first read that book in the 70s but I don't care for him now. Weird how time changes things. Love those Virgin River guys! It isn't a easy thing to pick, is it?

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 13013 comments i totally agree, pamela. SM was the mould from which the macho alpha hero was launched, what seemed so memorable in the 70's he just comes across as a sexist bully now. I listed him because of the lasting impression he made on a young girl....I loved the old bodice rippers although the only one i still love is The Wolf and the Dove

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Oh, I'm doing a "Lifetime in Books" challenge in the RRRC group and this REALLY helps, ladies. Thanks.

message 9: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments You're welcome, LK ☺

Lisa, I still love The Wolf and the Dove, too, to this day. Shanna is probably the only book I originally LOVED by Woodiwiss that went down slightly through the years. Shanna was such a brat. I loved Ruark though.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Oh, yes...Shanna was a b!tch brat. ♥Ruark♥ What a neat hero.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 13013 comments Yes, I agree again Pamela. This is starting to become a pattern. I felt the same way on a Shanna re-read recently.

message 12: by Donna (new)

Donna Michaels (donna_michaels) | 6 comments Prior to 1960...Does Lord of the Rings count? If so, then Strider is my choice.

Nothing stands out to me until after 2000. I love Jill Shalvis novels so I'm going to agree with Pam on Jax Cullen from Simply Irresistable. But my favorite hero after 2010 is Brady Miller from Animal Magnetism. I love a hero with baggage, preferably a military guy.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Ms Shalvis does write some awesome fellers!
