Thanks Sandi! I do love my Southern Romance novels. I just do the research for me anyway, so sharing with the group is easy. The time period that we love, makes me think we were born to late in time.
It certainly is a time period in history that will never be forgotten...and oh the novels that have come out from it! Of course Gone With The Wind was my first intro into that time, an all time favorite still.
Thanks Misfit. You know I have read a lot of Civil War Romance novels. I have discovered that most of the author are really good at doing the research and are pretty accurate in the history. I have actually learned a lot about the civil war from these books. I love this time period and now I am a little more knowledgeable about our history.
I agree and wish there were more current novels. I hear pubs are gunshy of the N word. take a look at When the Music Changed. Not southern not romance, but a good rread.
