Yay I can't wait! Anyone have a preference on how we read it? Do you wnat to discuss it when we all finish or have a chapter limit and kind of discuss it as we go?

Well according to Amazon it is 400 pages and Shelfari says its 62 chapters. (Anyone with the book can confirm or deny my version is on my Kindle so its hard for me to know for sure)
So that makes for pretty short chapters. What about like 15 chapters a day? Or we can go lower or higher.

It's 374 pages and has 62 chapters plus an epilogue. I am assuming the chapters are short (I didn't check).

So does anyone have any suggestions on how many chapters we should read a day?

62chapters/7days= 8/9 chapters? sound good? I have another buddy read starting the 26th so i said 7 days. plus with christmas coming up i think reading more a day would be better cuz we will all get busy

I just got to Chapter 10. I haven't really had the time to read that I would like (hopefully tonight and tomorrow will be better) but it's interesing so far. His writing style is taking me a bit to get used to tho. And I am a little worried that the pacing might be a bit slower than I like. Anyone else getting that vibe?

I don't think that at all actually. I love the way he writes, it's just the kids slang I don't like. I think it's slow as if we are learning with Thomas. I love it so far. I'm on chapter 9, and I'm gonna start reading again now

The book was a bit slow. The slang was a bit confusing as first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find it kinda nice that he didn't write using the words we normally use :)

I am only on chapter 3, I am kind of slacking a bit with my reading. Hopefully I can read a bit more tonight though! I agree that his writing is slow paced and his writing style is kind of hard to get used to, but hopefully it gets better!

Okay I am officially half way through. The book is still a bit slower than I could like and there is so much we don't know, but that is starting to interest me more. It is kinda nice to be finding stuff out with the character instead of being this all knowing person that just knows how everything works. Also I am enjoying his writing style a lot more now that I have gotten used to it.
The book is starting to get really good. I didn't want to put it down. I can't wait to find out what's going on.

Agree! It took me 2 books to have the connection with the characters :) It's a pretty decent book anyway.

And before I forget, who is Ben? I am about 70 pages in and it has mentioned the character, Ben, quite a few times. Maybe I just missed something, but I am not quite sure who he is...

Yeah I do agree. It took me a while to get into it. I think I was about 25-30% done when I really got into it.

Wow when you siad you were gonna catch up you meant it! I am about 70% done. I agree the book is really great. I am going to want to read the others. I am just worried about how much this first one actually answers.
