Mik (mikeverett) | 6 comments Here's the deal. I own Brainfood Bookstore, an independent bookstore in Longmont, Colorado. We sell only independently- and locally-published books. We're essentially the brick-and-mortar version of Smashwords; For many of our authors, our store is the first and only location to carry their physical book; most have only previously had their book available on Amazon or as an e-book. We feel we are competitive with e-book stores because, like e-book stores, we support independently- and self-published authors; however, there are plenty of people in the world who want to support these mediums but like the feel of a real book in their hands.

Why do I need bloggers? Because a lot of the authors in my store, although excellent writers, lack marketing skills. I want to be able to provide my authors with a list of blogs that could review their book/ do interviews.

What's in it for you? Every time one of our authors gets a review or interview on a blog, we will post it on our FB page, Twitter feed, and Tumblr page. That's some decent exposure for you. Plus, free review copies!

So basically... You benefit by getting review copies and publicity. The authors who carry books in my store benefit by finding out where they can get reviews and interviews. I benefit because I can post links to the awesome reviews and be all, 'Look! This awesome book is in my store! Come buy it!' So basically... Add your name, blog address, contact info, and what types of books you will review/ what interviews you do if I have your permission to add that information to a list and distribute it to our authors.

All blogs encouraged to apply but especially Colorado blogs.

Jennifer Priester (jenniferpriester) | 32 comments Currently my blog has not yet done book reviews and interviews but I would really like to start doing some on it. All I need are some authors to review. My blog is: http://animalsandmagic.wordpress.com/

The type of books I would like to review are: fantasy, ya, childrens, comic books, and manga/graphic novels.

I also like nonfiction if it is about animals and supernatural children's books.

The subjects I prefer to read about are: animals, magic, superhero's, and supervillains.

I will read almost any type of childrens book if it is for 4th grade reading level and below.

I don't like and won't read romance books, or mystery books without animals in them.

My blog is schedule based and posts normally every two weeks, but I am very willing to rearrange my schedule to help other authors and if I like the book will also give it reviews on any sites it is sold on such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and here on Goodreads.

The interviews that I would be willing to do and set up for my blog are author and/or character interviews. My interviews would be based off questions I come up with that I am interested in learning about the author or characters and would vary based on author and book.

You can contact me anytime at: tackojchi3@yahoo.com

Justin (justinbienvenue) | 460 comments This is one of the coolest things I have ever heard of or come across. This is very helpful and beneficial to readers, authors and bloggers. I myself am an author/poet and I have recently interviewed over 50 authors and a few bloggers on my website(http://jbienvenue.webs.com/) I am always looking for promotion and am willing to support and help other authors and bloggers. I am looking to perhaps further my interviews but I am closed to my own endeavors at the moment but since I came across this group and this thread I thought I'd introduce myself and let you know I am very much interested in this sometime in the near future.
