Hi, I am happy to be a new member. I have been reading Stephen King (and Richard Bachman) since I was a tiny tot (and no I am not "quite" as old as the villains in "Holly" (which I hope to finish reading tonight). Stephen King is unquestionably the "King of Horror" and will have reigned for half a century come next year as you guys know. I have never read his novels and story collections in chronological order. Over the years I have read a great number of his books and own a cabinet full of DVDs filled with film adaptations. This is likely enough of an intro. I mostly stick to his horror novels. Only recently have I considered reading a few early works that are outliers (Gerald's Game, etc). This is because I must acknowledge that I find it in poor taste for even a favorite author of mine to use his bestselling novels to advance his own personal political agenda. Will look forward to reading what avid King fans have to say about "Holly" and his huge library of unforgettable if not iconic works of horror fiction.
