Introduce Yourself- part 2

Hi Billy welcome to a great group. Many great reads in the different genres. Kudos to your wife on getting you a Kindle, many different ways to read and enjoy the work of authors.

Hi Juniper and welcome. I have been a Stephen King fan since his first book Carrie came out. Followed him for years and just getting back into his "new" to me works. Definitely give him credit for still putting out quality books after decades, man is very talented.

My name is Caitlin Ball. I am a bibliophile, which is a kind way of saying I'm an addict and my drug is books. I joined this group because this year I set a goal for myself to read all of Stephen King's books. Oh boy, I didn't realize he wrote so many. At the beginning of the year I guessed he'd written around 300 stories. Google wouldn't give me an exact answer, so I began making a list in chronological order of publication. Each time I think I've finished the list, I find another story he's written that I didn't know about. The books on my nightstand are arranged in 3 stacks, one of which is four feet high from the top of the nightstand up. No one who sees it can say it's not's a dangerous addiction. Anyway, I was looking for a group who might be able to help me verify that my list is complete, and who would enjoy discussing his books with me. As I do this, I'm also taking notes on cross overs and easter eggs. I've also come to realize that a lot of my favorite movies growing up were by Stephen King and I never even knew it. I've got to head to the bookstore and finish The Long Walk, but after that I'll check back and try to figure out the best place to post a discussion about the goal, it's progression and the list. I hope I've come to the right place.

Welcome! Here's an official place to see everything he has done: https://stephenking.com/works/

I'm obviously a huge Stephen King fan, and of the novels of his that I've read so far, Misery is my favourite. I also really enjoyed Needful Things and was quite surprised at how poorly regarded it is by some.
Currently reading: The Birds & Other Stories by Daphne du Maurier

@Caitlin welcome to the group. Wishing you the best with your goal - many great reads ahead of you - King has definitely crafted a number of wonderful books. Also good luck with the notes and crossovers - big project for sure.
I call myself a bookaholic - tons of books in my personal library and last year I set my goal to read all of my books - will take at least another a year or two, as I keep getting sidetracked with new books and books from the library.
Have a great one.

Good luck with your goal. I'm sure you'll make it. ^.^

And from another metalhead too \M/"

My name is Sydney, and I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I started consistently reading for enjoyment last summer. King is definitely my favorite author. I am currently reading Fairy Tale, and I have read 9 of his works so far. It is definitely a goal of mine to read all of them within the next few years. My favorites so far are probably Pet Semetary, It, and The Green Mile. Other than King, I enjoy reading other suspense/thrillers, horror, and sci-fi the most. So excited about finding and joining this group!

I am a long time King reader, but I only got around to Needful Things summer before last, and really enjoyed it as well. A little overwritten in parts, but another good addition to the small town horror genre. Biggest disappointment is that we've never seen Leland Gaunt again in another King book. Max Von Sydow was perfect in the film adaptation.

I personally LOVED Needful Things (although it's not so highly regarded elsewhere). I'd definitely recommend that :)

My name is David, I am a 20 year old Jewish college student from New York, and I am an avid book reader. Of the books I just love to read, are Stephen King books.
I am excited to learn more about Stephen King, and other horror/thriller books. I am also very keen to learn more about you all as well! Feel free to message me or something, let us all read books together!!!

I'm Francesca and I recently joined the GoodReads community. I'm a fan of King's books and some of my favorites include the timeless "The Shining" and the more recent "The Outsider" and "Billy Summers."
I'm happy to have joined your group, thanks to everyone!

Looking to make some similar friendships here, just joined Goodreads a while ago. My favorite king book is Christine, Cujo, and The Shining. My most recent favorite has to be Finders Keepers, for it’s brilliant plot of course. But now I am looking for more of a haunting horror King read, so let me know your favorites on that end. 👋 Nice to meet you!

Well, good evening. I am not very comfortable with sharing my age, but I can definitely say that Stephen King was, and still is, one of my favourite authors! One of the first books that got me into reading was King's The Shining, and I plan on rereading it.

@LTJ Really? I have a copy of IT and I STILL haven't read it...but I read all of the other books you mentioned. XD

@LTJ Well, first I need to get several books off of my TBR list. Remember how long IT is...?
