Eric | 105 comments Hi all,

Glad to have found this group, my name is Eric and I started reading King about 25 years ago and have continued to be a big fan off and on. I recently read 11/22/63, which has become one of favorites and has re-kindled my interest. Read Cujo, Eyes of Dragon, It, Pet Sem, Long Walk, and some others a long time ago, and Institute fairly recently. I've always wanted to read The Stand and Dark Tower series just never made the commitment, hope to soon.

Steve Hatfield Withrow Jr. Hey everyone,
New to goodreads as a whole and learning the platform but it was neat to find this group.
I really enjoy Stephen King and am pretty new to his work (just started reading it a a few years back).

I’d have to say 11/22/63 is my favorite. I absolutely LOVE this book.

Joseph | 7 comments Hi everyone. My name is Joseph. I've been reading Stephen King since I was about 10 years old. His stories have been a gigantic part of my childhood and adult life and were the gateway for my love of horror.

Scott Johnson | 1 comments Hey I'm Scott, I've been reading King for about 9 years now. The Stand has to be my all time favorite by him. I'm currently going through the Dark Tower series (on Number 3) and then I plan on reading 11/22/63.

I love horror/suspense novels and if you've got a favorite one then feel free to let me know!

Welcome! Your English is great for not being your first language.

As far as reminding you about good Kings? They're all good to some degree or another. What exactly are you in the mood for?

message 4114: by Mike (new)

Mike (theneverendingtbr) You enjoyed Pet Sematary, so I'd suggest 'Salems Lot. That's another good horror of his and the one I consider his best in this genre.

message 4121: by Mike (new)

Mike (theneverendingtbr) Hope you love it, it's one of the best horror novels ever written in my opinion.

message 4122: by Teo (new)

Teo Dumbrava (dteo) | 8 comments I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it.

message 4123: by Kandice (new)

Kandice | 4387 comments 'Salem's Lot is my favorite King overall. It was the first time I experienced an author using a town as a character. I think The Dead Zone is his best-plotted book, so also his best ending. I have so many favorites among his books, but these are two.

message 4124: by Mike (new)

Mike (theneverendingtbr) The Stand by Stephen King is my favourite book of all time. <3

Fiona Ross (fionafaithross) Thanks for including me guys. I love SK's work and also reading his son Joe Hill's book, Heart-Shaped Box. Looking forward to chatting about it. I remember reading IT for the first time, couldn't put it down, finished some time after midnight, and too scared to put the light out! I had to sleep with it on.

I read Heart Shaped Box and really enjoyed it, but listening to the audio a few years later really bumped it up a notch. It's so atmospheric.

Lisa Cobert | 6 comments Hi, I’m Lisa (first post). I discovered King in 1974 when Carrie was published and was hooked at 15. I’ve read all of his fiction with the exception of some magazine articles and nonfiction except for On Writing. It’s my opinion that there’s no one like Stephen King.

I never thought I liked him, but I've read 13 of his books in the last year! I took me until I was an adult and had my own baby boy this past year before I realized I loved him. Excited to be part of this group!

Portia (geekwitch) | 1 comments Hello all! SK Constant Reader since 1978, when 11 year old me pilfered a copy of The Shining from my uncle's library. Very interested in discussing the SK Multiverse and tracing the story lines throughout it. Plus, I get all of his references to the 70's and 60's, if you have any questions. ;)
