I've read so many titles, and yet there are so many I still have untouched. Last reads were Elevation, Outsider, and If It Bleeds.
Next book on deck will probably be Bag of Bones.

Welcome! The three you have read are really long, but many are not. You can jump around and find novels of manageable lengths throughout his career.

I joined Goodreads years ago but I have only just started adding the books I've read. During lockdown I came out of my reading slump and Goodreads is a big part of that! I am trying to read my TBR books I already own before buying more books. I own lots of King books I haven't read yet!
I'm the sort of person who loves chatting about books after I've finished them but I have few Goodreads friends and the ones I have don't seem to have many books in common with me. I've started posting reviews but it does sometimes feel like they're just for me!
Anyway, that's enough from me! I am glad I found this group!

Welcome! I love to chat about books as well, but my reading so seldom lines up with anyone else's that it becomes hard except for my RL book club, which is so structured you just can't get ahead or behind!

Hi Laura. Welcome! I'm on here off and on. Your introduction hit home with me. While I don't engage much, I enjoy reading people's comments and opinions. I can't wait to see what you have to say. Cheers!

Welcome!

Though my first read, Carrie, was in the 1980's, there are still so many I have not read! I was thoroughly disappointed in college when there was a course based on King's works listed in the course catalog, but never actually offered in the four years I was there. :-(

Welcome! I envy you coming to his work with fresh eyes. It's always nice to know the novels hold up over the decades.

Welcome Ana!

I'm a huge fan of many of King's movie adaptions with 'The Shining' being my all time favorite horror movie, and 'The Shawshank Redemption' being my all time FAVORITE movie.
So far, I've only read IT and THE STAND. They were two of the greatest books I've ever read.

Welcome. You have a lot of good reading in store!

If you're wanting another horror read by him I suggest 'salems Lot.
If you're looking for another post apocalyptic read by him, I suggest Cell.
If you're looking for some general fiction by him I suggest 11.23.63
Happy reading!

Thanks for the suggestions Michael! I'm doing the audio book to 11/22/63 currently, very interesting him going back to Derry.
I liked that.
Thanks to all the others for welcoming.

Stephen King was my first book love and I'm sure he'll be my last. The Stand is probably my favorite but I've re-read Misery most often. I'm sitting on 11/22/63 as my next King novel. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

It's a wonderful book. I'm sure you'll love it. Have Kleenex on hand, though. ;-)

Thanks! I definitely will keep my kleenex close by :D
