Welcome, Leslie.

Here are my top 10 Stephen King Favorites :) http://bit.ly/2W2wexh

Welcome, Hannah. And congratulations on getting your book published, it is so great when hard work pays off.

All time favorites - Dark Half & The Shining

Congrats Hannah on getting your book published! It sounds interesting.

Welcome Richard!!

I'm Camila, from Chile. The first King I read was Dolores Claiborne, back when I was 12 or 13, so I've been reading his books for over 10 years now. I've read 25 of his books so far, and I have at least 6 more lined up for 2020. My favorites are IT, The Green Mile, Doctor Sleep, and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon.

I'm Charles and I just found this group. I'm new to Stephen King, and have only read Carrie so far, which is awesome, I'm a fan of the book and all the adaptations. I'm planning to read other books as soon as I can, such as Firestarter and The Institute (which seem somewhat similar to Carrie), IT, The Shining and Doctor Sleep. In that order.

My name is Shanda and I'm excited to be a part of this group. I grew up on horror movies, and Stephen King was definitely on the top of the list. As a family, we watched Carry, Christine, Pet Semetary, and more. He's definitely one of a kind, and I'm so glad he is able to share his gift of writing scary movies with a purpose.

Welcome Thomas! I agree with you in regard to movies based on Stephen King books. The movies are never as good. You have to read King's work not accept a director or screenwriter's interpretation of the story.

That 70's version of Salem's Lot is a classic, the little boy vampire knocking at the window, wanting to be let in, gave a generation nightmares.

If anyone is new to Stephen King, you can't go wrong by starting with Salem's Lot and The Shining.

The first Stephen king book I read was Firestarter from my high school's library. I then quickly read Night Shift and Lisey's Story.
I have also read Duma Key, The Shining, Doctor Sleep, and two of the Dark Tower novels. I usually have to wait to read another of his books as they are typically long and sometimes take a lot out of me. My favorite one so-far is The Shining.
The next two Stephen King books that I'll read will be Insomnia and The Eyes of the Dragon. I hope to eventually read all of his books and watch the films. I'm going to watch The Shining very soon. I'm eager to hear what others have thought of the movies. I'm excited to be in a group that appreciates his books as much as I do.

Welcome Jalayne!
