Abigail Possinger | 1 comments Hello, my name is Abigail. I recently started my Goodreads account after my girlfriend raved about hers. I just started adding myself to Groups and figured this one would be a nice one to start with since I am a huge Stephen King fan. I am a 2nd year Audiology student in Philadelphia and when I’m not studying I am painting and listening to an audiobook (normally Stephen King, but always horror-themed). My favorite King novels are the Bill Hodges trilogy (consisting of Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End of Watch). I am currently reading the Stand and like it so far. Excited to be in this group with other King fans.

David (bigdaddyuker) Dave, Big Rock, Illinois. Less than a casual reader but I want to change that in 2019. Currently reading War and Peace as part of another group and was friended by someone that is also part of this group. Love Stephen King (albeit a brand new follower of King) and just finished The Outsider which I enjoyed. King is a great distraction as I muscle through War and Peace.

Hi, David - Welcome. Try bouncing back and forth between War and Peace and The Stand, or more realistically how about one of King's less demanding works like Different Seasons... still great reads.

Rachel | 5 comments Hello, My name is Rachel. I’m also a huge fan of Stephen King. Currently I’m listening to the Talisman on audio while driving to and from work. I’m half way through and Jack and Wolf make a wonderful misfit duo. I can’t wait to drive to work tomorrow to continue the tale.

message 3467: by mrbooks (new)

mrbooks | 1469 comments LOL love the image of that. Arnie was defo psychotic. I would say my favorite is the book I am reading at any one given time. I can never choose, I mean you have the Stand, The Green Mile, the Girl who loved Tom Gordon, The Long walk, The mist The Talisman just to name a few and how could we for get Poor Charlie in the Firestarter, classic King.

mrbooks | 1469 comments Yup have all read all love all. Another good short and movie, Rita Heyward and the Shawshank redemption story is fab the movie stunning. I also like his disturbing short The Apt Pupil, very dark

message 3470: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (snowyelephants) | 2 comments Hello! I'm new to the group. My name is Jen! I'm 28, love horror and thriller books, and am a massive fan of King's works like the rest of you guys! I was given 'Salems Lot to read in high school as part of a class and didn't want to touch it (still in my romantic novel phase) but then picked it up in 2015. The Shining was my first king book, 'Salems Lot the second (and my top three).

I'm slowly working through the list of works! Nice to meet all of you!

Welcome Graneo, I share your enthusiasm for Christine, Arnie, and Demonic Plymouth Furies. What retro sci-fi books are your friends recommending? I need to add a few to my list.

Cujo (deadtimestories) | 17 comments Howdy all,
My name is and I'm a long time member/first time messenger. It was inevitable that I would be a Stephen King fan since my parents took me to a drive in when I was 4 so they could see a double feature of Carrie and Salem's Lot... I would have to say my favorite novel would be a tie between Misery, The Shining, and Desperation

Don't remember many of the details other then what I was told. However, I did have nightmares for weeks because of the scene where the kid vampire was scratching at the window.
