Welcome! Some pf my books are also quite beat up hahha! Found them in thrift stores etc. I also really liked the movie adaptation of Green mile

Hi, Michael, lots of horror lovers here. Welcome.

I've hated Stephen King most of my life. Pet Semetary bored me as a kid and Dreamcatcher confirmed my bias as an adult - Gunslinger didn't change anything.
Then somebody tricked me into trying 11/22/63 a few years ago and I was BLOWN. AWAY. Holy shit. Ever since, I've been bouncing around his bibliography trying to catch up. There's been a few that have fallen flat, but for the most part I'm ashamed at how much I've allowed myself to miss out on lol. He's quickly become one of my favorite authors.
Think it's great that you guys do regular reads, and I look forward to continuing my journey with you all!

Hey Jeremy, Have you tried the Bill Hodges Trilogy? Given your enjoyment of 11•22•63, you might like it... maybe even Joyland, a couple of books that are quite different from Pet Cemetary and Dreamcatcher.

Hey, Goldie, welcome. I checked out the Aland Islands on Google... looks like a beautiful place.

Hi V and Marigold. I get where you are coming from V - I read a lot of SK years ago and then got waylaid by other authors but I picked up the Bill Hodges trilogy after a looong SK dry spell and couldn't put it down. Absolutely loved those books. Same with The Outsider. Didn't realise how much I missed his writing. Am now stock piling new editions of the older books to reread over autumn & winter and looking forward to the ones I missed out on (and some Joe Hill as well). Enjoy your new favourite.

Hey, El... welcome. I like your bio.

Looks like you're doing very well.

Be careful, I don't know if you know about Nick, but he has a protector Babcia, he wrote about her in his books and trust me from what I read about her I would be worried LOL. Nick is a good writer and has one mean Babcia, right Nick.

Funny how many people like Babcia since she's the most powerfully evil witch who ever lived. https://www.amazon.com/Taken-Witches-...

Greetings all. I think the first Stephen King book that I have read was IT, or it could have been Four Past Midnight. All I know is the man is a genius, and I have not read anybody that is close to his writing style. One of my goals is to actually read, or in this case re-read since I just joined Goodreads and am starting to log in books now all of his library. Nice to meet all of you.

Thank you. Yes I know. It is amazing how many books this man has written.

I started reading all of his novels in 2006 and read them all end to end in about two years. But imagine how lost I was when I was finished. Fortunately, King just kept writing... and then I started re-reading. I only remembered certain things about the books, not all the fine details. So it worked just fine.

Or sometimes even forgotten that you read them... especially the short stories.
Hello Nick. Reading that was a little intimidating. Well, at least the journey to completing or at least trying to all of the books will be enjoyable. I mean that is the whole point no?

Oh no I don't forget what was in any book I've read. no matter how long ago it was. I read a book in my early teens and was looking for it and a friend asked what it was about so I told them giving them a basic synopsis of the book and in 2 min they found the book I was looking for .
Hi everyone. I'm Amy and Stephen King is my favorite author (I would say I'm his number one fan, but my name isn't Annie.) I have read many of his books but there are so many I haven't read yet that I plan to get to soon. The best book I have read so far this year is "It". I LOVED that book! I still haven't read "The Stand" yet and I know many consider that to be his masterpiece. I'm looking forward to sharing my love for Stephen King's works with the rest of you!
