Vitej, Velkommen, Welkom, Bienvenue, Willkommen, Benvenuto!!!

I've been a massive fan of Stephen King since reading The Dead Zone back in about 1987 (first year of Uni). My brother borrowed it from the library, but I finished it before he did and haven't stopped reading King since!
My all-time favourite is The Stand (Uncut), but also have a soft spot for The Dark Half and Bag Of Bones (this spot can vary from one year to the next tho).

I am a voracious reader of all things horror, especially Stephen King and Anne Rice. :) I have started collecting all of King's books in hardback (1st editions when I can find them) and hope to buy a new bookshelf soon to create a King Nook of Books. :) I am the creator of a spiritual group here on Goodreads. In mundane life, I am an EMT and work in law enforcement. Oh yeah, I also write. Writing is my first love and King inspires me to write m-o-r-e.
Right now I am reading the entire Gunslinger series. It is AMAZING. :)
Smiles,
Ravyn

I recently decided to dive in to Stephen King's work, after being fascinated by the man for years. I'm not reading them in any particular order, just whatever takes my fancy. I'm currently reading Joyland after finishing Firestarter yesterday. As I'm writing this I have a big pile of King books sat staring at me ready to go after Joyland. Outisde of reading I'm currently studying on the legal practice course with a masters on top of that, I'm some how managing to fit reading in around that haha. I can't wait to read more King and join in more discussions with all you guys!

Welcome! I think reading whatever takes your fancy next is a great plan.

Hi Jacob and welcome. Wow all that reading you have to do for your course and you are reading more on top. I give credit where credit is due well done. We will always be here fear not.

I am doing a reading challenge this year and I plan on reading quite a few Stephen King books that I haven't gotten around to yet.
My favorites (of what I have read) are Dolores Claiborne, Thinner and The Dead Zone, but I have a really soft spot in my heart for short stories of all kinds.

I dove into the Dark Tower series last year, and therefore it converted me to a King fan. I'm immersed in his writing and currently finishing The Wind Through the Keyhole. I just completed 'Salem's Lot last week.
Any new books on here I'd be just as happy to read along with the group if time allows.
Cheers!

I’ve been a fan of Stephen King since I was young. I just recently got into the Dark Tower series after avoiding it for years. But I’ve read just about everything of his. I’m looking forward to participating in the group!

Dolores Clayborn and Gerald's Game are related. Very different, and there are a lot of folks who dislike Gerald's Game because of the content. But the two novels occur at the same time and reference each other.

Massachusetts, really where in Mass if you don't mind me asking. I grew up in Mass and still have family there.

Bridgewater, which is in southeastern Mass. Where did you grow up in MA?

Glad you're here, Dylan. I'm with you on 11.22.63.

Yes I was last back in MA in 2003, that's why it is time for me to make another visit. It isn't cheap but not as expensive as it was back then. Yes I will probably rent a car even though I haven't driven in the states since 2003 and didn't do to good of a job then either. LOL Actually ended up driving on the wrong side of the road once or twice.

hi Dylan and welcome.
11-22-63 is a fantastic book, but I am a fan of his older works but I love all his books that I have read.

This is what I think Nick. It is called suspended suspense it allows you to fill in the information to suit your own move, quite a daring move for a young author.

Guess I posted this message on the wrong page. Sorry. I'll repost it. Anyway, good observation mrbooks. You can imagine my version.

Welcome Dawn. Love to hear your opinions on Sleeping Beauties. There's a thread here where you can add to the conversation.

I am Marek and I allow myself to briefly write this introductory message so that I may leave some traces here, in this group, even with having not so much time as I use every moment to read more books I will write as often as I can. I do like horror-like King's books but others are not interesting me beside them. HE is great but not best writer though.
Best Greetings!
