Danielle Wagstaff | 1 comments Hi all, I'm Dani and I've been on good reads for a while but have never really been active on forums. I loved the King books I owned as a teenager but have only ever read a few (my favourites are the girl who loved Tom Gordon, and the Stand) but I read about 5 king books last year so I'm excited to read along chronologically with everyone. I finished Carrie in a day and it was great and I've started Salem's lot so should be finished soon and will join in with the disucssion!

Karen Downes | 18 comments Hi,
I've been a massive fan of Stephen King since reading The Dead Zone back in about 1987 (first year of Uni). My brother borrowed it from the library, but I finished it before he did and haven't stopped reading King since!
My all-time favourite is The Stand (Uncut), but also have a soft spot for The Dark Half and Bag Of Bones (this spot can vary from one year to the next tho).

message 2961: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Fenner Hello I'm Hannah from Portsmouth UK. King was who made me enjoy reading at a young age. The Stand is my all time favourite that I continue to read again and again. Looking forward to talking with you.

Rev. Ravyn Onca (ravyn_onca_hps) | 14 comments Hello Constant Readers. I'm Ravyn!

I am a voracious reader of all things horror, especially Stephen King and Anne Rice. :) I have started collecting all of King's books in hardback (1st editions when I can find them) and hope to buy a new bookshelf soon to create a King Nook of Books. :) I am the creator of a spiritual group here on Goodreads. In mundane life, I am an EMT and work in law enforcement. Oh yeah, I also write. Writing is my first love and King inspires me to write m-o-r-e.

Right now I am reading the entire Gunslinger series. It is AMAZING. :)

Smiles,
Ravyn

Jacob | 8 comments Hi guys, I'm Jacob!

I recently decided to dive in to Stephen King's work, after being fascinated by the man for years. I'm not reading them in any particular order, just whatever takes my fancy. I'm currently reading Joyland after finishing Firestarter yesterday. As I'm writing this I have a big pile of King books sat staring at me ready to go after Joyland. Outisde of reading I'm currently studying on the legal practice course with a masters on top of that, I'm some how managing to fit reading in around that haha. I can't wait to read more King and join in more discussions with all you guys!

Erin (jadegl) | 4 comments Hi, my name is Erin and I live in Maine. :D

I am doing a reading challenge this year and I plan on reading quite a few Stephen King books that I haven't gotten around to yet.

My favorites (of what I have read) are Dolores Claiborne, Thinner and The Dead Zone, but I have a really soft spot in my heart for short stories of all kinds.

message 2974: by Vince (new)

Vince (dbzvin) | 2 comments I'm Vince.

I dove into the Dark Tower series last year, and therefore it converted me to a King fan. I'm immersed in his writing and currently finishing The Wind Through the Keyhole. I just completed 'Salem's Lot last week.

Any new books on here I'd be just as happy to read along with the group if time allows.

Cheers!

Dolores Clayborn and Gerald's Game are related. Very different, and there are a lot of folks who dislike Gerald's Game because of the content. But the two novels occur at the same time and reference each other.

message 2983: by mrbooks (new)

mrbooks | 1469 comments Now there is a story, I was born in Holyoke, and grew up in Chicopee, Southwick, Springfield and Westfield. Then I joined the Air Force and ended up in England ad Germany Texas and back to England where I retired and am now living.

Nick Iuppa | 4272 comments Am I the only one who feels cheated because King (view spoiler) I'm disappointed. This book delivers so much on so many levels. Wonder why he did that.

mrbooks | 1469 comments Erin wrote: "That definitely is a story! Has been awhile since you have come back to MA to visit?"

Yes I was last back in MA in 2003, that's why it is time for me to make another visit. It isn't cheap but not as expensive as it was back then. Yes I will probably rent a car even though I haven't driven in the states since 2003 and didn't do to good of a job then either. LOL Actually ended up driving on the wrong side of the road once or twice.

hi Dylan and welcome.

11-22-63 is a fantastic book, but I am a fan of his older works but I love all his books that I have read.

This is what I think Nick. It is called suspended suspense it allows you to fill in the information to suit your own move, quite a daring move for a young author.

Nox Serpentis (pugnatorinferno) | 3 comments Hello,

I am Marek and I allow myself to briefly write this introductory message so that I may leave some traces here, in this group, even with having not so much time as I use every moment to read more books I will write as often as I can. I do like horror-like King's books but others are not interesting me beside them. HE is great but not best writer though.

Best Greetings!
