Howdy Mr Brooks...yes she knew because it was in my hand every spare moment I had lol. She always encouraged my reading and I was way above my age group in reading comprehension and..."
You're welcome!

My name is Sarah and I'm from Tennessee. I first read a King book, Doctor Sleep, back in 2013. Since then, Stephen King has become one of my favorite authors. So glad to have found this group!

Always nice to see a fellow Tennessean and King fan!

Hi Sarah, and welcome to the thread, we are all crazy about Sai King, but I'm just crazy LOL.

David, maybe start by rating some of your favorite books!

Thanks

Which version of the Stand are you reading?
I also enjoyed the Shining, 11-32-63 and IT.... you should try Salem’s Lot once you complete the Stand.
The other thing I like to do is see the S.K. Novel translation onto the screen... which I really enjoyed the adaptation of the 1980 version of the Shining by Kubrick as the director which out surpasses the remake because that version {Steven Weber} did not have the scare factor... your thoughts...

For the new year, I plan to read Stephen King books. My uncle passed away and left all his Stephen King books to me. When I finish a book, I plan to pass it on to a friend or coworker or leave it in the free library.
I’m most excited to start with The Shining and Doctor Sleep. Right now I’m finishing up The Talisman. Nice t meet you.

Wow, I would be ecstatic to receive all those King books! And that's a great idea to leave them for someone else to read once you're done!

Hi Jess and welcome to all things King. I hope you enjoy your visits here and most importantly his books. The speed you read at isn't important, what you get from a book is what matters, like you I am a slow reader but I am a constant reader. So relax and enjoy yourself you are among friends.

Nice bunch of shudders, Jill. Welcome to the group.

Welcome, Dariana.

Hi Jill and welcome to the King pages your shudders are welcome as your opinion is. We are all king shudders and lovers of his words. So again welcome and share your thoughts on kings books and your feelings on his works.

Hi Dariana and welcome we all look forward to your in put. But as an old man please don't let your pleasure of reading Sai kings book interrupt with your education. While we will cherish your thoughts and opinions, we also as fellow King readers wan to look out for your best interest. and at this point in life it is education, education, education. LOL I know I sound like the old man I am. Again welcome and we do really value others opinions.
