Hi, I'm Megan! I'm very new to Goodreads, but I've been a Stephen King fan for a couple years now. My favorite book of his is far and away The Stand.
Hey! I've been lurking for a while. I might have already introduced myself, but I'm going through this aging thing, and my memory is shoddy, at best. My name is Tamara. I'm a lifelong Texan. I love this state. It is as big and beautiful as it's purported to be. We do have a little bit of everything: hills, valleys, desert, huge rivers (one of which I grew up on—the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country), and we even have a miniature version of the Grand Canyon -- https://dovesrestcabins.com/; I highly recommend this place. The photos don't do the view justice. I do NOT really like my fellow Texans. At least not in these rural areas I seem to be stuck (thankfully so) in - family land. Yeah, it makes building a house much cheaper.
Anyway, I'm 46, married 20 years, 3 grown children that are in their 20s, 2 grandchildren (my muses)... a dog Mom/Grandma of 4.
I have loved S. King since... 1992. Maybe 1990?
I've read as much as I can though an unexpected stroke slowed me down at 43. It sucks. Yeah, it could be worse but people who say that make me want to punch them in the trachea.
The one thing King is famous for, I have been unable (3 tries now) to get into is The Dark Tower series. That first book... I've read 1/2 of it and it still didn't hook me. Someone needs to tell me I'm crazy or... (see the comment about tracheas). I look forward to meeting some like-minded folks and pls don't hold the Texas thing against me.

Hello! My name is Toby and I’m reading through the Dark Tower series with all the tie ins! My journey is inspired by my late grandma. Not only did she introduce me to him, I inherited her collection (lists of first editions)! So far, my top three are The Eyes of the Dragon, Drawing of Three, and Waste Lands. My next read is Wizard and Glass.
My favorite non-Dark Tower SK book (and movie) is Carrie!

If you can somehow get through it, the rest of the series gets more amazing with each book! Also, you just gotta keep livin' man....

Howdy, all. My handle on here is Lysander. I'm pushing thirty and I only really got into King during quarantine with 'Salem's Lot. Right now, I'm two books into Dark Tower and loving it. My favorite King books as of now are Pet Semetary and Misery, but I can feel the Tower gaining on them.
Hello! I go by RH. I'm an ohio'an who traveled west to North Dakota and decided to stay. One of the first novels I remember reading (besides Goosebumps) was The Gunslinger. From there I was hooked on Stephen King and fantasy/sci-fi in general. I am also an indie author just venturing into self publishing with my first book. Glad to be here.

I’m glad you love reading the S.k ..I read The Shinning and carrie again., loved them. I got so much on my tbr that if I went through all my SK books I’ll never get through all the other books I have 😂

What's up, everyone?!I got on SK late. But first book recommended was Misery and I absolutely loved it. Then read his Memoir on Writing to dive more into him but can't wait to dive into more! Excited for this group!

Hi, fellow lovers of SK and everything horror! My name is Faycat. I started reading Stephen King's novels when I was about 12, in the end of the 80s. They were all in German, as I grew up in Germany. This year is my first official SK obsession year, where I try to watch as many of his movies and read as many of his books as possible. Right now, I'm ten hours into the It audiobook and enjoying every minute and detail!

@Darryl: Very cool! LoL I wish, I've read a good amount of all the usual King Classics, but not every book... yet! That's the golden plan. At some point in my life, I want to say that I've read everything he's written.One day :-)
