Joan Barnett | 3 comments Hello! I read some of King's early books in the 80's and I did not pick up any of his books for a long time except for The Green Mile I believe. I loved the fact that it came out in installments. But I didn't pick up anything until The Outsider. After I read it I asked myself why I did not keep up with his books! So after that I started reading King again and have become a little obsessed trying to find his books used in stores. I just got done reading 11/22/63. I'm currently reading Fairy Tale. I'm going to start The Dark Tower series next and also plan on reading The Institute.

Along with King though I read a lot of other books. I've gotten back into being a bit of a bookworm like I was when I was a teen.

Tasha Mutter (tashamutter) | 2 comments Hi. My father collected Stephen King's books while in the marines overseas for entertainment and has recently passed them along to me (tubs upon tubs of them). His mother would purchase them, and send them to wherever he was in the world at that time. I am excited to dig into them as these have been around the world and back, and have been highly treasured by our family.

Wow! This is a very touching family story, Tasha. I think all the whole thing make these books a special treasure!

Very nice! After I got out of the Navy, I realized that I had loads of SK books that were in surprisingly good condition (after having been carted around the world). That convinced me to collect and read the ones I did not have. Have fun with those tubs of books.

Kyle Bond | 1 comments Greetings! New to the group and a new constant reader from Colorado! Wasn’t much of a reader through school years including college and decided to divorce from television and news so I picked up reading more for fun and have really enjoyed it! Decided to try my hand at reading some SK, I knew about some of his works like IT and Dreamcatcher, but had no idea how extensive his bibliography was. I really didn’t know where to start so I picked a book that sounded like it had an interesting premise and landed on Needful Things. Finished the book right at about two weeks and quite enjoyed it, I followed that up with Shawshank (loved the movie) and suddenly I have a shelf with about 20 SK book that I want to read lol. Currently reading IT and ‘salem’s Lot after just finishing the Gunslinger. Guess I’m hooked!

I'm a constant reader from Indiana. slowly been collecting all the stephen king hardcover books and I've read everything by him besides the dark tower. my first read was the shinning and I fell in love with his writing style. I love the characterization and small town feel. even though it isn't cozy at all. he's my comfort read. anyone can add me and we can talk books

Chadwyck Byer | 1 comments Hello. Writing from hot and humid Florida. I have enjoyed Stephen King for many years and became a Tower Junkie. I’m here just in time for You Like it Darker. I saw somewhere there was going to be a group read. Where would I find that? Doesn’t look like it is posted under the Group Read topic. Anyway, glad to be here.

This is not an official answer, but based on past experience, I'd say it will be our June read.

Keedra | 5 comments Hello, my name is Keedra and I fell in love with Stephen King at a young age. I had many of his hardbacks but they were destroyed which naturally, hurt my soul. If anyone is wanting to read Rage and has a kindle or kindle app, message me and I can send it to your kindle. I have the pdf version of that and don’t mind sharing as it gets hard to find. I need book friends so please don’t hesitate to add me. Happy reading!

Hi Radia. Welcome to Stephen King Fans! It is one of my absolute favourite King books. I discovered his books whilst living in Europe. The only English book I could find in a hurry was The Mist and I didn't know what to expect - it was so scary! It was so good! I was hooked!

I hope it's a similar experience for you too.

El Hi everyone, I'm Lara. I'm finishing up my last few years of high school and hoping to get into mortuary science. I've been reading Stephen King since I was way too young- probably why I'm so comfortable with such a morbid profession! My favorite of his is 'Carrie and I'm currently reading 'Salem's Lot.
