For those of you who perhaps don't know about this, Steven Erikson wrote a series of blog posts at Lifeasahuman.com while he was writing The Crippled God.
In them he talks about his travels in Mongolia as well as his writing process, which is the most interesting part. This is from general thoughts to specific ideas on how to write well, such as in one post where he deconstructs an extract from the Crippled God.
Anyway, if you're interested in seeing the master at work, give it a read and maybe share your thoughts. I'd be curious to know what you guys think.

On a side note, first time readers to the Malazan books may want to beware of possible spoilers when reading Erikson's blog posts.
