Totally have to agree with Branson being an ideal "man"tasy( great choice of words by the way) he's sensitive and handsome!

Matthew has the best head on his shoulders, something to balance out the Grantham family, especially with seeking a manageable business plan for Downton and being supportive of the least favored family members. He is a character of morals and more importantly a conscience especially after Lavinia.
