Cathy (cathy_edens) | 14 comments Hi there!

I am so glad I found this group. I am always looking for book suggestions and I think I've found a great place to find some!

I've recently become addicted to paperbackswap.com and am waiting for a few books to get here. My list of "to be read" is getting quite long, but I am ready for the Spring Challenge.

Anyone know of any books that take place in the Pismo Beach, Solvang, San Luis Obispo, or Central Coast wine country? I just finished "Gone" by Michael Grant, which is a bummer because it is set in that general location.

I am so looking forward to renewing my passion for reading. This is an awesome group!

Hi Cathy, welcome!! Sorry can't help you with your question... there's surely someone out there who knows, however!!

Rosemary | 170 comments All of Earline Fowler's books take place in and around SLO. They're mysteries and I think they are very well written. Sue Grafton is based in Santa Barbara. I'll have to think about it a little more. Give them a try. I'm a Central Coaster, too!

Hi Cathy.....
welcome TNBBC... the bestest of the best. WHo needs the rest?

Elizabeth (Alaska) I can't offer any suggestion as to books of the area. I can suggest to others, however, that the central California coast is much more interesting than the southern California coast. (I grew up in Orange County, spent my high school weekends at Laguna and Huntington Beach.)
