Liat i'm looking for something like this
is Bared to You a good one ?

what to read next?

Kendra Yes, Bared to You is a good one, it is more vanilla.

Rosanna Because You Are Mine by Beth Kery

This is an 8 book series and I loved it! The only problem is that each book is only 2 chapters long.
After reading book 1 I went ahead and bought the rest. I had no regrets :)

message 4: by Jane (new)

Jane I enjoyed Bared to you.. I liked it better than the 50 books. The writing was better and this is book one of three. the last book is scheduled to be released next year :( so there will be a wait to finish the series.

Sandi I would suggest reading Gabriel's Inferno before Bared To You. It's a way better read and an incredible book. If you loved Fifty Shades, you will love this book.

Christine Love Unscripted, Love Unrehearsed, Thoughless and Effortless.

Jodie D. Thoughtless, Reckless, Gabriel's inferno, and Bared to You are all great. I'd also recommend The Winemaker's Dinner: Appetizer, Naked by Rain Miller, and Too Darn Hot by Pamela Burford. Those are among my favorites.

I've had Love Unscripted (Love, #1) by Tina Reber as TBR for a while now. I read a few chapters and was thrown off by the male lead crying. Is he sensitive throughout the book? I like Kellan from Thoughtless even though he was sensitive, but he wasn't annoying. Know what I'm sayin?

Lale After 50 Shades trilogy I read several other erotica/bdsm books.

If you enjoyed the BDSM side of 50 shades I would recommend Brie Learns the Art of Submission It's about a college grad and she joins a submissive training centre. The book has really hot sex scenes but I would say it is also a romance and explores many different elements in BDSM. Like FSOG I was hooked reading this book and each sex scenes is really hot and different.

I also enjoyed reading the original sinners series the first book is The Siren. I like this series as it is quite different but also much darker and violent than FSOG so be warned if you do not like that sort of thing.

I agree Rosanna...The writing was better than the 50 books...I like the story too...Can't wait for the third book! :)

sarah foster i agree too! bared to you is brilliant and better written than 50 shades i can connect better with sylvia day.

Driftwood I have to travel far to buy books, and I am so sorry I didn't buy "Reflected in You" when I bought Bared to you. It was very good. I still put 50 shades first, but this was a good second. Do not purchase Kendall Ryans' "unravel me", it is awful. I already pre-ordered the third Sylvia Day book for March 2013.

Justine saulnier well somebody else might think unravel me is good

Nuran Immortals after dark series by Kresley Cole is fantastic. Mixture of paranormal and erotica. And I wouldn't describe it as vanilla, but it isn't bdsm either. You don't really have to start with the first book as I didn't, I suggest Lothaire or darkest needs at night's edge.

It's amazing

Mochaspresso I enjoyed Bared to You and Reflected in You and think they are worth reading if you liked 50 Shades. Although, I do prefer the 50 Shades story over the Bared to You one. In Bared to You, Eva and Gideon both have serious issues and are highly dysfunctional together. But like 50 Shades, they are actively trying to work through their issues.

KJ I just read Bared to You and Reflected in You. Really liked them both and hope the third book is good. I too still prefer the 50 Shades story. Loved Fifty Shades Darker! I just started Gabriel's Inferno, so we'll see.

Sandi I loved Gabriel's Inferno and Gabriel's Rapture they were my favorite books. I loved 50 shades too but the Gabriel's book was very deep.

T.c. Anthony KIRKUS REVIEW...JUST IN...MUST READ

"...many parallels to the smash-hit Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy; indeed, that series’ fans may have difficulty putting it down."

Three Stages of Love Lust by T.C. Anthony

Fans of E.L. James will likely find this novel worth a look.

In Anthony’s debut, a dashing, dominant businessman sweeps a lonely girl off her feet, and they quickly fall into a submissive/dominant relationship.

This first installment of a planned trilogy chronicles the love affair between the razor-tongued Eva Chase and the super suave, slightly mysterious Mr. Alexander Mason and has many parallels to the smash-hit Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy;indeed, that series’ fans may have difficulty putting it down. Eva is an ambitious, driven businesswoman who has worked her way up to the top at Prime House Investments and plans to stay there. However, the sweet-smelling,
muscular Alexander throws a wrench in those plans. From the moment of their first meeting, when Eva literally tumbles
into his arms during a drunken bar dance on her birthday, she is powerless against him. She soon finds herself divulging to Alexander her deepest secrets and desires. The two embark upon a stormy, push-and-pull relationship, each strugglingfor powe r. All the while, Eva tries to keep her life together personally and professionally; luckily, the brazen brunette has
her two best friends, Sam and Chrissy, to help. While the overall dom/sub theme is clear, it becomes a bit unclear as to who exactly is dominant and who is submissive as the novel progresses; will Anthony put Eva in charge, as she is in every other aspect of her life? The answer is still vague at the novel’s conclusion, which may frustrate some readers.
Although Eva may strike readers as a bit grating at times—who is really that perfect or that driven?—her cat-and-mouse relationship with Alexander is consistently believable.

Paula Please do not compare Gabriel's Inferno/Rupture with 50 Shades of Grey. They are not the same at all. Gabriel's Inferno/Rupture are not Erotica. They are more Romantic and deals with intimacy in a delicate, leave something to the imagination kind of way. Also, the H/h do no consummate their relationship until the very end of the book. The author also uses Dante/Beatrice relationship as his inspiration. These books are very well written and great reads. They are not at all like FSOG, even though I enjoyed those also, but for different reasons.
