Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 361 comments I read Lord's Fall (Elder Races, #5) by Thea Harrison and really enjoyed it.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments As you all know, I'm pretty liberal with my stars and I round up when giving half stars. But even with that allowance, I only had 2 five star books this month.

The Theory of Attraction by Delphine Dryden was H.O.T.

The Sweetest Thing (Lucky Harbor, #2) by Jill Shalvis was great! I loved it more than the first in the series and I didn't even think I'd like the heroine LOL

My least favorite for the month was Calling All the Shots by Katherine Garbera

message 4: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments I loved The Theory of Attraction by Delphine Dryden , Susan! It was so unlike any other BDSM erotica I've read recently in that the dominant guy doesn't have to be your typical alphahole.

message 5: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I know! He sort of reminded me of Ian MacKenzie :) I love unconventional heroes.

message 6: by S (new)

S (booksstarsmoon) | 884 comments I really must read The Theory of Attraction soon! Ian MacKenzie is one of my favorite heroes xD

I got immersed in Julie Garwood books this month and found

The Bride (Lairds' Fiancees, #1) by Julie Garwood The Secret by Julie Garwood Ransom (Highlands' Lairds, #2) by Julie Garwood

which I loved loved. The Bride mad it into my top 10-reads!! I haven't actually finished Ransom yet but I'm predicting that I will love it as much.

An unexpected delight was

How to Romance a Rake (Ugly Ducklings #2) by Manda Collins

which featured a crippled but very charming heroine.

message 7: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Susanne, I liked The Secret more than I liked The Bride, but I think I'm in the minority on that thought. I've really enjoyed everything I've read by Julie Garwood.

message 8: by S (new)

S (booksstarsmoon) | 884 comments I really really liked both and I think for me it could have been the opposite if I would have read The Secret before I read The Bride - now my heart was already taken. Lol! I'm only half way through but I think Ransom might steal that place xD

message 9: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments I read The Secret before The Bride, so I think that's what happened LOL

message 10: by S (new)

S (booksstarsmoon) | 884 comments Of course! Lol!

message 11: by Lydia (new)

Lydia (welshbookworm) | 1 comments I really enjoyed the third Rainbow Road by Lisa Kleypas.

message 12: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) Guys, have you read Saving Grace by Garwood? Because it's just as good, if not slightly better than The Bride and The Secret!

message 13: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Yay Jenny! :)

Megan, I haven't read that one yet. I'll have to read it :)

Gisela (chicadorlando) | 4022 comments Ditto on Saving Grace! I loved Ransom too! In fact I think a reread is in order!

message 16: by S (new)

S (booksstarsmoon) | 884 comments Wow, even better?! I have Saving Grace planned for December - yay!

message 17: by Ren Puspita (new)

Ren Puspita (renpuspita) I read more than 20(!) books for November, and even its fun, I'm also exhausted to read so many books, lol!

My favorite this month is :

Eona (Eon, #2) by Alison Goodman , the best YA I read this year

Beast Behaving Badly (Pride, #5) by Shelly Laurenston Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, #1) by G.A. Aiken , I'm on Shelly Laurenston/G.A.Aiken marathon lately :)

New York to Dallas (In Death, #33) by J.D. Robb , 30+ and the series still going strong.

Angel Betrayed (The Fallen, #2) by Cynthia Eden , perfect balance of paranormal romance and suspense!

My least favorite is :
Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James , too much brand things and the hero is childish

Archangel of Mercy by Christina Ashcroft , I don't know how to classify this one, sci-fi or PNR

Already got my copy of Lord's Fall (Elder Races, #5) by Thea Harrison , and hope its will good :)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Oh, I'm so glad someone else didn't like Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James . Totally agree with you on that one, Ren, but I felt I was all alone in my opinion.

I feel alone too, LisaK :(... so many friends like that book and I feel otherwise. BTW, my friend, he is a man who don't want admit he reading romance novel (very cute!) said that book is his book, since he think he is the sexiest man alive. I love to tease him about that, lol! ^^

message 20: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yeah, the hero was a little to narcissistic and immature for me.

Gigi | 833 comments Thank you as always for starting the thread. I can't believe the month is over. Well, I started Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1) by Jill Shalvis and I adore Jax so far. *finger crossed* that my short attention span (which has nothing to do with the book and all to do with my old brain) won't kick in again.

I still loved the book but I totally agree with you ladies on the hero. For me, the heroine and the humor made it up anyway xD

If you think you like Jax, wait till you get to Ford's book ;)

Yes, loved the heroine.

message 26: by Gea (new)

Gea (gea89) | 412 comments I have read 28 books this month and as always there were plenty of 5 stars:

Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward Lover Unleashed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #9) by J.R. Ward - there's hardly a book from this series that doesn't deserve 5 stars
The Rancher's Rules (Sunshine Springs Duo, #1) by Lucy Monroe Housekeeper to the Millionaire by Lucy Monroe - two great HP books worthy of 5 stars
Beauty Dates the Beast (Midnight Liaisons, #1) by Jessica Sims Desperately Seeking Shapeshifter (Midnight Liaisons, #2) by Jessica Sims and Rock Chick Rescue (Rock Chick, #2) by Kristen Ashley Rock Chick Renegade (Rock Chick, #4) by Kristen Ashley - first two books are from a new author and they were awesome; the other two were a pleasant surprise after the beginning of series and Rock Chick seriess just became my top priority to read ASAP
Make Me (Hawkeye, #3) by Sierra Cartwright A Dom is Forever (Masters and Mercenaries, #3) by Lexi Blake Rules of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry, #2) by Simone Elkeles The Touch Of Fire by Linda Howard - first two books are erotic BDSM romance, the third one is YA and the last one a historical romance
