I've finally finished ch 12, but I'm in the bed typing thins on my iPhone LOL ill answer questions first thing in the morning. I'm not scheduled to sub tomorrow so I'll be reading all day :)

~ Ok, so they have the 'discussion' about his mistake, and she's all mad, and then he touches her and she's all melting for him, super-easy, and the consummate the marriage with utmost pleasure. Was it just me or do you think she should have tried a little harder to resist him, to hold onto her irritation? I think she should have held out more. I know I wouldn't have been won over that quickly
~ The sex scene! She's acting all experienced and he asks her where she learned her moves, and she tells him she used to watch her parents having sex when she was growing up, and on multiple occasions!! Totally gross! Do you agree? Or do you think, like Francesca does, that it's perfectly natural, and their loving relationship was a good example for her?I never watched my parents. They made sure the door was closed. I do think watching your parents in a loving relationship is a good example for children, but not the parents getting kinky in the bedroom
~ Sigh... He seems to be falling for her way too easily in light of his determination! Do you think it's a good thing that he's gone all soft on the inside so soon?I like that he's falling for her so quickly. He's getting on my nerves denying it and pushing her away. There's no way I would keep my hopes up if I were her. And I don't think I'd be boinking him all the time if there was no chance, according to him, of him loving me
~ Were you disappointed when it turned out that he's going to keep his feelings for her all hidden, and still insist on the marriage of convenience? I kinda had to roll my eyes at that, can it get any more predictable?yes, I was very disappointed
~ Of course all the servants fall for Francesca too, even the ones that Chillingworth and his mother have had trouble with for years. Too easy? Or is it a good way of showing how nice Francesca is, and how well-suited she is to the role of countess? I like that she won over the staff. It goes to show how stupid Chillingworth is for not wanting a real relationship with her
~ What do you think of the neighbors, the Gilmartins? Do you think Lancelot is going to cause a problem for Francesca, or is he just an annoying but unimportant side-character?I'm not sure what to think of Lancelot. How could he even think to be so forward as to suggest a ride that is "romantic" in front of her husband? Mine would have dragged him off the horse and beat the tar out of him right then
~ In Ch. 11, he's thinking about how lucky he is to have such a great relationship with her where it's not just sex but sex with feelings, and then he goes and pushes her away and refuses to spend any time with her outside the bedroom, and the required meals. Yet she still falls into his arms and gives him all kinds of passion when he deigns to give her some of his time. Did this irk you? If it were me, I'd let him in to do his duty, and only because it was required, but I think I'd be laying there like a dead fish until he finished, no way I'd be all blaze of passion for him if he's treating me like nothing but some kind of important, titled servant outside the bedroom.I'd be a dead fish too LOL
~ More sex. Geez. I'm all for hot sex, and I still like Gyles despite his ass-ish-ness here in these chapters, but I'm finding myself skimming through all these 12 pg long neon-purple-prose scenes. What about you? Do you think it's good and hot, or are you hurrying through to get back to the story? I'm upset that she's giving in to all the sex everywhere when there's no guarantee that he's going to change his feelings about what he wants from a marriage. The library scene was something else, wasn't it? LOL
~ Franni's coming to visit, how do you think it's going to turn out? Is she going to be all crazy?I'm not sure what to make of Franni's visit.

-Franni is giving Chillingworth the heeby-jeebies. Do you think she realizes he's the man she talked to? Do you think she'll take Francesca's place? I've got a bad feeling about her.
-Lancelot is an idiot. He must have balls of brass to suggest that he and Francesca go somewhere alone with her husband standing right there. I'm surprised it took a near accident for Gyles to say something. Aren't you?
-Speaking of near accidents, what do you make of the strap that was between the trees? Was that Franni?
-The whole household turned out to pick plums. Was that realistic?
-More strange happenings - her hat destroyed. Her favorite dressing tampered with. Was Chillingworth's response of having her followed and shutting her out expected? It made me mad.
-WOAH! She's preggo. And that statement leads him to announce his departure for London and leaves the impression he's going to find a mistress. Yet he has the audacity to go to her bed. And what's more, she doesn't kick him out of it? There's no way that would have happens at my house.
-honestly, Chillingworth's hot and cold with Francesca is driving me crazy! He needs to fess up to his feelings and move on with their life ;)

Franni and heeby-jeebiesI knew Franni was the villain right before they left after the wedding. no surprise there for me !
Lancelot :A childish idiot .Well Gyles was pretending this was just an arranged marriage and he didn't care so probably that's the reason he didn't do anything before
The whole household turned out to pick plums. Was that realistic? Well not really , things were a bit exaggerated in this book

See after this point nothing made sense , they were doing and saying stuff that wasn't logical or related , they were hot and cold . she is angry but they are doing it all the time and everywhere !When I'm angry at my husband I don't talk to him , I don't touch him and I don't cook , he still can sleep in our bed.(that's a rule in our home, no matter how angry we are at each other we sleep in our bed) but we definitely don't do it like rabbits. you can't stay angry while doing it :D

Yeah, his hot and cold got on my nerves. A lot.

I don't love my job, I love my bosses. They're just awesome and never give me grief if the kids are sick or need me for some reason and I have to swap shifts.
But some recent developments and conversations with my husband have brought home that I need to step up a bit more financially, and so take the pressure off him. He's been in a job he hates for a couple of years, travelling to Brisbane every day, and he's hit a wall. If I'm able to find something with more hours, it will mean he may be able to find something local that pays less. I've only worked part-time / casual for the last 5 years so it's a little daunting trying to get myself back out there. Fingers crossed ladies!

I hope you get something soon with good hours and high pay. It must so hard to drive about 150K on each way every day and for a job he hates.
I don't love my job either but the pay is good and my boss is fantastic .The best ever ! and I hate job hunting too , so I'm stuck here .

Yea, Franni's giving me the heeby-jeebies too, lol. I don't like her. I think there's something going on behind her facade for sure.
-Lancelot is an idiot. He must have balls of brass to suggest that he and Francesca go somewhere alone with her husband standing right there. I'm surprised it took a near accident for Gyles to say something. Aren't you?
Yea, I'm surprised too that Gyles didn't take him down a notch or two earlier in the story. I think Lancelot was kind of exaggerated. Young buck or no, most noble-born people were (well, supposedly according to romance-land law lol) ingrained with enough manners to know better than to act so brash and obnoxious in the presence of higher ranking people. Total idiot.
-Speaking of near accidents, what do you make of the strap that was between the trees? Was that Franni?
Well, I finished so I know it was, but I have to say that ever since she showed up and was acting all weird all the time, she was the prime suspect for me. I knew without a doubt it wasn't Ferdinand the chef causing all the accidents!
-The whole household turned out to pick plums. Was that realistic?
Probably not, but I rather enjoyed that part, it was kinda nice in a quaint sort of way. I could almost picture it like a Downton Abbey-style kinda scene or something, could see everyone coming together for a day of good cheer. Lol.
-More strange happenings - her hat destroyed. Her favorite dressing tampered with. Was Chillingworth's response of having her followed and shutting her out expected? It made me mad.
I expected him to react by setting more guards and stuff on her, I'd want guards if someone was trying to kill me, y'know? But for him to tell her it was 'just because he said so, I'm the man, you'll do what I say and I'll do what I want, wot wot,' and not telling her that it was because he believed her friggin' life was in danger really pissed me off. And then he comes to her for hot sex. ARGH!!! I wanted to just bite him, hard, not sexy. He made me want to just tear into him like a beast with my anger. And yet I still liked him and thought he was a good story hero in the end. He made me mad though.
-WOAH! She's preggo. And that statement leads him to announce his departure for London and leaves the impression he's going to find a mistress. Yet he has the audacity to go to her bed. And what's more, she doesn't kick him out of it? There's no way that would have happens at my house.
After all the banging they were doing, it's no surprise she's knocked up. Again he made me mad here, acting so freakin' stupid! And the sex afterward, OMG I didn't even read it because I was so mad at the both of them by then. Her of course for just letting him crawl back over top of her and letting herself be all "I wuv you!!!! Sex me up!!! Yea!" despite his ass-ness, and stupidity.... RAWR! And no way would that happen with me, not without some arguing and groveling and stuff first.
-honestly, Chillingworth's hot and cold with Francesca is driving me crazy! He needs to fess up to his feelings and move on with their life ;)
Yes, I know from being the reader and seeing inside his head that he's a decent guy, and has the feelings, but his actions just irritated me so bad... But in the end he did fess up, and I actually liked how on the inside he showed that he had feelings, and wasn't as horridly afraid of the L word as the Cynster men. That was a lovely change in hero-mindset for me. But his actions... I wanted to smack the author a little for the ridiculous forced drama. But in the end I rather liked the story a lot. It's the best of the series for me so far, with #4 being second. Really looking forward to the twins next though, hoping for some fun :)
