Hi I'm Hajra but my friends call me Jade. Let's just say it's an inside joke. I feel a little shy right now because of all the adults in this group and I'm only 15 just to clarify that. So you can guess I'm still doing matriculation. I feel like a two year old here. Books to me are a freedom or escape from the norm of life. Whenever I feel like the world is caving in on me, I just pick a book and get stuck in a whole different fantasy that will never accomplish anything for me. I like reading Cassandra Clare books (You know the mortal instrument series author) and a couple other authors. But believe me I can read any sort of fantasy book. I'm planning on doing literature.
Welcome Hajra. I'm closer to your age but don't talk to me. There are plenty other members in here who can hold a better conversation than I. Don't do literature, please.

I feel like I'm breaking a rule by replying but I'm curious why everyone tells me to not go for literature. I have no other choice than literature. Like why would I become a doctor? I would kill someone rather than save them.

If you want to kill, there's no better profession than being a doctor.
As for literature, it's a simple advice: What we want is oft at odds with what we need and it couldn't be truer in this context.
Ayesha wrote: "Welome Hajra!Almost everyone is nice and welcoming here. You can trust me on this."LMAO did you even consider me?
Welcome to the group hajra... like Ayesha said people here are good people in general. Age is never a barrier between the interlocutors if there interests are similar and all here have the love of books in common. So you will fit in just fine. .. no need to be shy.P.s. literature is a great option. It gives you the opportunity to understand the world around you from the eyes of another.... literature grows a sense of empathy and belonging. I would encourage you to ttake it up as major.

Have fun!
Well Hajra ,just so that you know not selecting literature doesn't necessarily mean you have to select medical only there are other options too :P #vestsideout #fliesaway
Welcome to the group Hajra aka Jade :p
trust me age doesn't matter here. when I joined the group 3 years ago I was the youngest here too but u will make ur place here on no time. :)
literature is an awesome subject to. choose provided u have the knack for books and literature. I am an English literature MPhil student and I love it. it's an innovative field of study where u see the world from a different perspective something very few people can do. :)

Hey,everyone! I'm Maria Saleem,17 (Second Year student). I love reading fantasy (all sub-genres),dystopia, apocalypse, horror and everything young adult. I also enjoy adult fiction if it has a decent plot and characters. As much as I love reading though, I don't get to do it much as my parents don't consider it a healthy habit and because it can affect my grades. So I just read (and review) ARC's on here. It's been a year and a few months since I joined GR and I obviously love it here. Truly excited to explore and participate in this group!
