Well, I never find out the meaning of "Nigham" anywhere but my mother says the name is derived from the word Nagina (diamond)... In other words it's a name of a precious stone.
But yes, Nigam is a common Hindi name and it means treasure. :)

Ikra,Beware, If you post about high fantasy writers, do remember to put Tolkien in top of list. We found some traces of a vicious secretive Tolkien fan cult in this group. :P
Isn't that right @sohaib :D

@syeda, welcome to group :)
Hello everyone, my name is Ramla Zareen and I am originally from Pakistan but have been settled in Germany since more than 8 years, and am now officially a German national. I actually came to Germany soon after my marriage and though adjusting to the cold weather and learning a new language was a challenge but now I love my life here! It is kind of difficult to find English books in the libraries and book stores so I mostly buy mine online from www.amazon.de and have now accumulated a large collection, too large in my husband's opinion! :-) Lolz Not only does escaping into the wonderful world of fiction provides me immense pleasure, but I also love to keep that world readily accessible and very much enjoy re-reading my favourite books too! :-) Thankfully, my 3 and a half years old daughter also love books and so my husband is now quite resigned to a life with two bookworms :-)I am also always happy to make friends with those who share my love for reading so please feel free to connect with me on Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter etc :-)
My favourite genres to read are "Golden-Age" and "Cozy" Mystery and the main objective of my blog is to recommend wonderful authors of these genres, for example, Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, Carolyn G. Hart, Julie Hyzy, Jill Churchill, Krista Davis etc
I also very much enjoy "Historical Romance", "Contemporary Romance", "RomCom/Chick-Lit" and "Classic RomCom".
While the books of some of my favourite "Romance" authors, like Judith McNaught and Julie James etc, do contain some intimate scenes but usually I very much appreciate it when an author is able to maintain decency by exquisitely manipulating words to imply physical chemistry between the lead characters, without going into intimate details. For example, Georgette Heyer, Robin Bielman, Debbie Macomber and Sophie Kinsella etc.
Since reading is usually a fun escape and a source of happiness for me so some of my most requirements in books are humour, pleasant ambience and happy endings! :-)
Well, looking forward to discussing books and hopefully becoming good friends with you all,
Happy Reading! :-)
