E. (justmee) oh WoW! thank for the welcome & i will try hard! i'm super excited for my 1st challenge!!!

message 12: by E. (new)

E. (justmee) I do have 2 quick questions…
1) am i allowed to read my books @ home? or only ebooks?
2) i was sent a list that begins with weather… is that our list? i want to get my selections ready if so!

message 13: by Katherine (new)

Katherine (katdylan) Welcome Eva! It's great to have you here!

To your questions:

1) You can read boos in any format you want, paperback, e-books, audio-books, etc.

2) Every week a random object will be called, be it from the weather category, clothing, body parts or miscellaneous category.

Let's say this week Belt has been called. You'll read a book with belt in it, an you can claim 3 more items form the other categories.

Ex:
Week 1: Belt
Read Submission Revealed by Diana Hunter
Date: 11/25/2012
Rating: 5 Stars

Quick review: I loved the book, I think their relationship grew stronger, and how this genre may be seem by outsiders. This has a different tone from book 1.

There were some hard parts to read since I love this book and its characters... etc

Items Found:

Rain (The rain was falling, pg 85)
BELT (cover)
Submission Revealed (Submission, #2) by Diana Hunter
Elbow (He hit his elbow on the wall, pg 156)
Fruit (Her shampoo smelled like some fruit he couldn't name, page 91)

message 35: by Dawn (Kat N Hat) (new)

Dawn (Kat N Hat) (katnhat) Ok, one last minute addition I am going to place Turtlecollector on your team, she should be around today to introduce herself.

Turtlecollector Dennis Hi. I really enjoyed this game last round but was late noticing it started again so I am glad I could still join in. My real name is Kirsten if that is easier to deal with and I read fairly quickly. I will be choosing my book later today.

Turtlecollector Dennis I will be reading Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison by Ralph Ellison. It has so many of the other items, though, it is going to be hard to decide which ones to claim.

message 38: by Katherine (new)

Katherine (katdylan) Hi Kirsten, welcome to the team! Glad to have you here! :D

I like and dislike the sync idea. It could help us or drag us down. I personally like to pick my own items.

message 41: by E. (new)

E. (justmee) Sorry gals, just saw the thread. So can you please help me out with picking a title? Does it have to be about tie or tie in it ooorer… ??? Is there a mandatory page count?

message 42: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) Dyllan aka ~Whycked Mhystresxs~ wrote: "I like and dislike the sync idea. It could help us or drag us down. I personally like to pick my own items."

Totally understand. Just figured I'd check.

Paris (pah13) E. wrote: "Sorry gals, just saw the thread. So can you please help me out with picking a title? Does it have to be about tie or tie in it ooorer… ??? Is there a mandatory page count?"

the book you read has to have a necktie or a form of a necktie in it or on the cover.

Per Dawn here are some other items that would count...

"It needs to be the article of clothing tie. I suppose Men's necktie would be what I envisioned but I would take cravat or one of those womens scarves pinned or knotted around the neck (not sure if they have a name).

Bow tie, clip on, bolo tie will all work too. "

And page count is minimum of 200.

message 44: by E. (new)

E. (justmee) LoL! got it. thanks so much. now you mentioned other items should I find out the other items first?

message 45: by Katherine (new)

Katherine (katdylan) E. wrote: "Sorry gals, just saw the thread. So can you please help me out with picking a title? Does it have to be about tie or tie in it ooorer… ??? Is there a mandatory page count?"

You can read about anything with tie in it. It can be on the cover or in the book. Then you can look for the remaining items.

Pages minimum is 200.

message 46: by Katherine (new)

Katherine (katdylan) E. wrote: "LoL! got it. thanks so much. now you mentioned other items should I find out the other items first?"

The tie is a MUST. The others you can search as you read. Make sure to check the list for the items on the other categories.(1 per categorie)

When you finish reading the book, come back here and post your items and review. Nothing fancy ;)

message 47: by E. (new)

E. (justmee) ok so Tie on the cover. then for instance.… rainbow toe & bike in the book?

message 48: by Katherine (new)

Katherine (katdylan) The tie doesn't need necessarily to be on the cover, it may be inside the book. Just make sure to have one item per category and you're good.

Turtlecollector Dennis OK. So, I have read 50 pages of my book and so far I have found 6 other items as well as tie. How do I decide which ones I pick to claim? I had horrible luck in the last round, picking items that were called in the next couple of weeks.

Close your eyes and pray to god ;P
Just Kidding.
It's all about the odds. My first round I had no items called, on the next several were repeated.

I try to pick the hardest items first. By the end makes it easier to find the most common remaining in the same book.
