Kaiden thinks back over all the times Master Peter has said as such to him. Master Damon also has a secretive nature about him but he simply changes depending on sitution and mood. But never truly mean or spiteful, 'They balance eachother out rather well, Master Peter and Master Damon, they are quite similar in a way, both have that dangerous edge i suppose, i suspect they will have no trouble finding wives with looks like theirs', Kaiden says thoughtfully.

"Damon's nice enough," Jess said, shelving another book. "And Peter has his moments. I can't say that I don't like either of them at all." She thought for a moment. "I don't think I could ever hate anyone."
"It's a tough life," Jess said. "Being required to eat the food here, being able to talk informally. It's just awful." Insert eye roll.
'I never said i didn't like it Jess, you are being judgemental today aren't you' he says with an arched eyebrow.
Kaiden nods 'yes, well there's nothing wrong with that i suppose, i always find that things are a lot more complicated than what they appear' he says as he puts more books away.
Kaiden turns to her and answers 'people are complicated and complex, therefore situations involving people must be also', he leans against the books case.
"And that's why I'd rather not talk most of the time," Jess said. "Make people feel as though they can talk to me. Strange."
'Nah, leave all the gallant prince charming stuff to the heroes and i'll just make swords' says Kaiden simply.
Kaiden grins 'in my world, yes, but who needs damsels anyway, they seem like a lot of work' he says.
Kaiden shakes his head, 'you'd be surprised what one can accomplish with perseverance and wilfulness' he replies.
"And you'd be surprised what what one can accomplish when they're part angel," Jess said. "It's very handy in some situations."
"But those moments hardly amount to anything when compared to the good ones." Jess picked up a book a slid it carefully into its place. It was one of many on the shelf, hundreds in this section, thousands in entire library, and millions in the world. Quite insignificant in comparison.
'That depends on what moments one considers good' replies Kaiden, he looks at the books on the shelf, it reminds him of the minds of a person, never ending and full of things, some important others not, but all within reach of the person that mind belongs to.
"That is a simple question," Jess said. "The good moments are the ones you spend with people you care about."
'Does that mean a person cannot have any good moments with people they do not care for, or that people with no one TO care for can never be happy?, i suppose that does make sense, although i've never been one for sense or sanity' answers Kaiden.
Jess sighed. "You're hurting my head," she said simply. "You can make a good memory with someone you don't care for, and everyone cares for someone. They may just not know it."
'I do hope it isn't one of the prince not so charming shadowhunters' says Kaiden with a small smile.
Jess sighed. "You caught me," she said in mock-fear. "It's most definitely Peter. I love a guy that throws containers of ink at me when I go to stoke the fire in his room."
'Peter might be my choice as well...saying that i think i'd rather go for Damon, he gives me the good kind of shivers' says Kaiden with a smirk.
