Shanna_redwind When Josh sticks his hand out into the fog, near the end of the book, it makes his arms numb. Then later he starts having mini blackouts. What is it that was done to him? Stephen Wallenfels didn't relate to us exactly what was done, and it seemed an almost unnecessary part of the book to me, unless there is to be a sequel. What do you think?

Angela I thought this might have been unnecessary, too. At times, I thought it might be a way to try and read his thoughts. Just now, I thought perhaps the fog was intended to "cleanse" the earth. Josh may not have gotten enough exposure to actually kill him, just give some bad effects.

I would read a sequel, if the author would write one. I would like to find out more about the state of the earth and how humanity continues. Also, I'd like to know if Josh does reunite with his mom.

Sophie I reckon maybe it was for if you ran completely out, it would render you immobile and incapacitated so the aliens were able to "pick you up"
